"I wanted a shower expanded. George Mavridis's estimate was very competitive but I hired him because I knew he was honest, quality focused and an open communicator. He has a small crew and excellent subs so he's not super fast. But Mavridis is excellent. One example: The shower needed a new fan, vented through the attic roof. The attic boards were all cut (before my time) in half when insulation was installed. The attic floor was unstable and unsafe. George was very busy but he had his team replace the boards with plywood panels...for 20% less than I expected. Why? Because he wanted to make sure I would be happy when the job was done. I could give 4-5 other examples but you get the point. If you hire George, you'll be pleased."

"Veglia Remodeling was wonderful to work with. Jeff gave me an estimate for the labor/work on my bathroom remodel. He also suggested vendors to work with and suggested meeting them to choose materials (which was the other cost of course). That was very helpful. Jeff was always available via text or phone. Mostly text. He was the point person if I had concerns. Always gracious. Happy to weigh in if I wasn't sure about something. He has a number of people who he works with and they were all very professional and everyone always cleaned up when they left for the day. I felt very fortunate to have Jeff commit to my project since my bathroom is extremely small (two people standing in it is a crowd) and it can be tough to find someone who will work on a small project."

"The initial build went reasonably well. We did find problems which they did come back and fix. I noticed a railing support that was cracked. I was told that I must of done it, that was that. The plugs that cover the screw holes in the stairs are falling out. I looked for some at Home Depot, but couldn't find the right color. I still had Chase's cell #, so I texted him and asked if he could send me some plugs, and I would do it myself. No response. Tried again the next day, still no response. I'm not surprised. Aging the build was decent, price was higher than most. Now that nearly 2 years have gone by, and customer service should be anticipated, nothing. Never again."

The workers have good expertise but it is disappointing when they are not forthcoming about any issues on their end and do not fulfill their promises."

Not only was I expecting him to refinish my hardwood floors, I was asking him to come in and work miracles to repair the damage done by another contractor who had a damaged machine created wavy distortions to my floors. Lou made them look beautiful again! He was very honest about what he could and could not make perfect and his work always exceeded my expectations. Lou was careful to keep his work area very clean, cleaned up after himself daily and protected my other living areas by sheeting off the rooms he was refinishing. The final finish is so beautiful, with four coats of satin urethane, I think they look better than the factory finish. "Duoc was a pleasure to work with. I initially hired him to fix and replace floors at my parent's house. He refinished some existing wood floors, matched and installed new hardwood floors, and his uncle installed some luxury vinyl tile in the bathroom. He did such a wonderful job that we also hired him at our own newly purchased house to refinish existing and install new hardwood, and again his uncle installed tile in our entry.
