"I wanted a shower expanded. George Mavridis's estimate was very competitive but I hired him because I knew he was honest, quality focused and an open communicator. He has a small crew and excellent subs so he's not super fast. But Mavridis is excellent. One example: The shower needed a new fan, vented through the attic roof. The attic boards were all cut (before my time) in half when insulation was installed. The attic floor was unstable and unsafe. George was very busy but he had his team replace the boards with plywood panels...for 20% less than I expected. Why? Because he wanted to make sure I would be happy when the job was done. I could give 4-5 other examples but you get the point. If you hire George, you'll be pleased."

"We live in a 1940s Cape and wanted to open up our downstairs and expand our kitchen. We also wanted to switch our downstairs full bath and upstairs 1/2 bath, and to add a third bedroom upstairs. In addition to quoting us the best price, Bauman Remodeling was also the only contractor to suggest vaulting our upstairs ceilings (and the only one not intimidated by our wish to keep our steam radiators). The extra ceiling height upstairs ended up being one of the best results from our remodel; we no longer feel like we're in an attic. Another highlight is the built-in around our fireplace. It looks like it's always been here. In fact, something of great importance to us during this remodel was making sure that anything new to the house fit the existing parts, and Mike did everything possible to make that happen, including traveling to multiple stores to find just the right moulding. With any job this big, there are inevitably going to be surprises and setbacks, but Mike was always willing to do whatever it took to make things right. He was honest, fair, and accessible throughout the project. And our new kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. I highly recommend Bauman Remodeling."

"The initial build went reasonably well. We did find problems which they did come back and fix. I noticed a railing support that was cracked. I was told that I must of done it, that was that. The plugs that cover the screw holes in the stairs are falling out. I looked for some at Home Depot, but couldn't find the right color. I still had Chase's cell #, so I texted him and asked if he could send me some plugs, and I would do it myself. No response. Tried again the next day, still no response. I'm not surprised. Aging the build was decent, price was higher than most. Now that nearly 2 years have gone by, and customer service should be anticipated, nothing. Never again."

And he was very easy to work with. We hand built a custom cabinet to replace the old bathroom closet. For many contractors, having a homeowner perform part of a remodel could have been difficult for them. Lester took it all in stride and adjusted his workflow to let us do our part. Not only was I expecting him to refinish my hardwood floors, I was asking him to come in and work miracles to repair the damage done by another contractor who had a damaged machine created wavy distortions to my floors. Lou made them look beautiful again! He was very honest about what he could and could not make perfect and his work always exceeded my expectations. Lou was careful to keep his work area very clean, cleaned up after himself daily and protected my other living areas by sheeting off the rooms he was refinishing. The final finish is so beautiful, with four coats of satin urethane, I think they look better than the factory finish. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone in need of hardwood flooring installation or refinishing."
