"While the quality of work and clean up performed by the crew was outstanding and Iâ m pleased with the finished product the crew didnâ t arrive until almost 11 and didnâ t leave until 9 PM. While I appreciate the goal of a new bathtub/shower replaced in as little as a day working until 9 PM is not acceptable. When setting up the appointment it needs to be stated very clearly what the expectations are for the day. As I said, Iâ m very happy with the finished product but 20k which includes no installation cost is way too much for what was actually provided."

"Since they needed access to decks on two levels of the house as well as a roof deck - the first thing they did was put down heavy floor protection on the first floor foyer up the stairs and the upstairs. Each day they vacuumed the floors and cleared the work areas. Very professional, meticulous detail, project was well managed and great communications - often consulted us on aesthetics as several ways some things could be done. "We were looking to replace a tub and fix a leak in our old house. Jeff came and inspected and gave us a very reasonable estimate. They replaced the tub and the tile contractors were great. We then thought we'd just throw in a change of toilet and that then revealed a serious flooring problem. We ended up remodeling the small bathroom and Jeff did a great job. Honest Plumbers do exist :) We've found a good one in Mike Rivers from Rivers Plumbing and Heating in Andover. When he came to the house for a free estimate (another provider on Angie's list wanted to charge $39 just to give me a quote), he was detailed and thorough. He took the time to explain the issues that he had found and provided options for us to consider for the repair. Rather than trying to sell us a new system, he was forthright and stated that he did not believe a system replacement was required. No high pressure sales or scare tactics -- just straightforward, honesty. Nice! His estimate was detailed and thorough.

For scheduling, we traded suggested dates and Mike was able to promptly perform the repairs on our agreed upon date. He takes pride in his work and it shows.

Mike is a former military serviceman so when given a chance, we always try to support a veteran owned small business over a large corporation.

We certainly will be using Rivers again and would recommend him to friends and family.

"I called, Petros was right around the corner. He got to my house as soon as he was done at another job. Came in, took a look, gave me a prognosis, took apart the faucet, showed me the degraded parts, replaced said part, didn't give me a hard time at all over me making his job harder by trying to do it myself first and maybe stripping some parts, chatted with me and my 17 month old daughter, replaced the part, and didn't stop working the entire time. "Joe and his team are awesome! I was interested in turning my larger laundry room into a full bath and my half bath into the laundry room. Joe was very easy to work with, responsive and supportive of my design. I asked for his advice on a lot of details along the way and everything he recommended turned out great with his years of experience. "We have a bathroom that needs a number of repairs: new floor and counter top, window replacement or repair, tub refinishing, new cabinet door, etc. I sent e-mail inquiries to three companies; John Downie at Busy-Bee was the only one to respond. He came to the house the first Saturday after my e-mail and met with my husband and me. He said he could do the job but that it would make better sense for us financially to divide the work into smaller projects and farm them out to specialists. For example, he recommended that we pick out a new flooring at Lowe's and have Lowe's install it. If he had his crew install the same floor, he would charge us much more. We think he gave us excellent advice and are following it.
