"Joe and Silmac were hired to do a complete gut and renovation of my master bath to something sleek and modern that my designer and I had put together. I got the recommendation for Joe from a friend who did two bathroom renos with him and the work was beautiful. This bathroom scale was much larger and the quality of the work was top notch. Joe is a perfectionist and it shows, he wants it done perfectly and for you to be happy. I even tacked on adding a wall and enclosing my office space part way through the bathroom and Joe executed that with speed and helped me to make some fast decisions. Joe is responsible obtaining all the necessary permits and inspections and hires quality people. The final product of the bathroom is just what I dreamed. The only major snag we encountered was the shower glass supplier (who was not Joes usual supplier) encountered some delays in the delivery and it impacted timing for the final completion of the project. I’d recommend Silmac again wholeheartedly!"

"We did two projects with John, Gary and the crew. The smaller scale project was for adding a shower to a half bathroom, turned into a full bath. The other big project was for remodeling based on one kitchen + one bathroom, change it to one kitchen + two bathrooms. John and Gary and the crew were awesome and very pleasant to work with. They listened to us, willing to accommodate our ideas, but also give us realistic suggestions based on the budget. John always trying to save money for our project, to control the budget. They are honest, friendly, genuine, respectful, responsive with great remolding experience and knowledge. Like I read from other Busy Bee's customer reviews, John himself handle electric stuff and others. They worked very hard and showed up every day. Even our neighbors made the comment that "your contractor showed up every day!". We became friends during the project. I would recommend busy bee to my friends, to everyone, and will definitely have the crew come back for any future projects. "Loved the entire process. Sanfer and his crew were professional, quick, did excellent work and clean! Even when we hit a few snags, he was able to think quickly and give different options in order to continue. He was great about helping with my 'vision' which I greatly appreciated. Also gave excellent advice and showed pictures of what he recommended without pushing any product or design on us. This was our first renovation, so we did not think of all the tiny details that really finish a bathroom but he was there helping us along the way. Our finished basement had a powder room with a washer/dryer unit located in it. We moved those appliances out to make space for a full shower. D&S did all the plumping, tiling and electrical work and we love the finished product. We get many compliments on the work and this has become our favorite bathroom."

"Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough."
