Now, we use Safer Nature to manage our yearly pest maintenance. If there is an issue, Safer Nature come out and checks the problem and comes up with a solution. Catseye specializes in customized rodent, wildlife and pest control solutions for families in Central and Eastern Massachusetts. We offer a permanent solution to keeping pests out for good. Catseye protects your home from mice, rats, and bats to bed bugs and termites and everything in between.

"Over 5 months paid over $1,500 to Catseye not one mouse was caught, nor did they take any bait. We still see mice periodically in the house, which was the reason we called them. Their service failed to achieve any measurable results and no refund for poor performance was offered and I was still charged the cancelation fee to end the contract early. Technicians who visited monthly were pleasant and professional but ultimately was a giant waste of money for the tech to place out traps/bait stations and stuff some holes with steel wool. Not really sure what the high-end price was for as there was nothing cutting edge or advanced in what they did. Monthly service visits last roughly 15-20 minutes I would say on average. Again all the technicians were pleasant and professional and the folks on the phone were the same they just would not budge on a refund and still charged the cancelation fee. I would look elsewhere unless your home is new enough construction to use the exclusion system which I did not get due the age of my homes foundation."

Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. Any tree that emits a sap or resin can attract yellow jackets. They are particularly attracted to the tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima), which emits a sweet sap that both yellow jackets and spotted lanternflies love.

If you seal bees in a wall and don’t leave them any way to escape, they may make one of their own. Otherwise, they’ll die inside the wall, and that creates many additional problems. It takes a long time, and the bees will start rotting, which can make your home smell miserable. All the dead bees and any honeycombs they may have created will also attract a number of bugs or other pests to your home. That’s why we suggest removing the bees entirely, and not trying to seal them away.

You should never try to remove a bee's nest yourself because it can be extremely dangerous. The amount of bees that can live in a hive depends on the type of bee, but honey bees can have up to 80,000 bees living in a hive. People who are allergic to bees can have life-threatening reactions from a single sting.
