Scott and his crew showed a lot of creativity in meeting our requirement to stay in the house during the renovation, to the extent of setting up a temporary kitchen and shower in the basement. In the end, we only had to be out of the house for about a week. He was also very good about coordinating with our architect and the cabinetmaker that we selected ourselves. Having heard a few horror stories of renovation cost overruns, I think we also did well in this respect. Our final figure was about 10% more than the initial estimate due to the kind of unforeseen issues that can be expected on any such project, along with a few changes that we ordered. The level of detail Scott provides in his constantly updated spreadsheet also helped us to make some decisions that reduced our cost."

"We had a major remodeling project with a third floor deck new addition to the second floor master bedroom new bathroom new closet. We had eight new windows placed the whole back of the house has new siding and trim as well as corner boards and it looks incredible. The deck was masterfully built where it is incorporated within the structure of the house it is absolutely 100% leak proof and a joy to experience. The project started in late February and finished in late May. James was a wonderful contractor to work with with a great crew and Grainnie made sure that all of the appointments were met and coordinated all aspects of the work. She was a joy to work with; dedicated beyond efficient, she was available and responsive to any issue, and committed to ensuring the job was completed to our satisfaction."

"Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough."
