"We're so glad that we went with Hancock for the job! It's been wonderful to be able to stretch out into the new space. Bedtime for the kids has been going so much better now that they have their own rooms and we love how the rest of the spaces turned out. We've very much appreciated the consideration that Darrell, Kevin, and the team have had with helping to accommodate the family living in half of the house while the project was going on. That was really the only way that we could have afforded the project. I'm definitely still amazed that it was able to be done in the short span of time. Even our dog is in love with her expanded domain. "As a testament to how happy we were with our first renovation provided by the Curtice Group in 2021, which provided completely new kitchen/dining/mudroom/bath, we hired Scott and his team again in 2024-25 for another major renovation. This job was composed of 3 main parts: a gut remodel of our main bathroom, renovation of a large attic space (about 700 sq ft), and whole-home conversion from steam radiators (gas) to heat pumps including removal of all radiators and a chimney. The bathroom now is attractive and more functional, the attic adds a large amount of useful space as an office/kid room/guest area, and central air makes a more comfortable climate. I’m a big fan of the design/build concept, because you really don’t want to separate those two elements into different contractors, and if you find a talented company, they can handle all aspects of the job fluidly. Scott Curtice has a real knack for design, he is attentive and cares about details, and he will perform carpentry and touch-up work as needed. Moreover, he handled all the project coordination so that we could do the jobs that we do well, which do not include home renovation."
