I asked why the final price for my oil and filter change was substantially higher (about 30%) than the posted price. I was told that my car took a special oil filter and they charge more for it. I told the cashier that it has always been my experience that if a customer is up-charged, either for a different oil filter, higher capacity oil system, etc, they are told before they do the work, not after. I said in the future I would go to a place that followed reputable business practice and provided an accurate price before the work is done. The cashier didn't seem concerned, said he didn't blame me for going somewhere else if I could get a better price. I asked to see the owner. He was onsite and I told him that it had always been my experience that an oil change business, when they need to up-charge, informs the customer before the work is done. This is when things got strange. The owner immediately lost his temper, started yelling that if I drive an expensive car i shouldn't "b****" about up charges. He gave me my receipt and as I was walking out of the door, yelled "get out of here, we don't need your business. Keep in mind, I did not ask for a price reduction, I was simply suggesting that it is a more above board business practice to inform a customer prior to an up-charge instead of surprising them with an inflated invoice. Besides the issue with not quoting an accurate price, the owner definitely has some kind of anger management issue. I would definitely not let my family members go there unaccompanied. This used to be the busiest oil change place in Gretna - not anymore, and now I know whey. The one good thing about it - you won't have to wait long, they don't have that much business anymore. My son was driving the car and it broke down, and when the tow truck came he opened the hood and he could not open it because the oil cap came off and was not letting him open the hood. The serviceman were not very nice and were cussing when my son had the service done. The manager, D. Valian, on that day was a nice guy. Great job from start to finish on a complete replacement of my heating and cooling system. Edgar is an expert in his field and it shows in the quality of his work. I am 100 percent satisfied and will continue to use and refer Nu-Air for all of my future heating and cooling needs.

Excellent service. The gentleman called 20 minutes before he arrived. Diagnosed and fixed my gas dryer that wasn't heating. Fuse blown and excess lint in the wheel below. Replaced fuse and removed all excess lint.

"Angi advertises that you’ll get an upfront, transparent price before you ever schedule with a pro. That was not my experience here. This company refused to provide even a ballpark estimate for a standard job — a 50-amp generator plug with an interlock — and instead wanted to charge a $69 “dispatch/diagnostic” fee just to show up. That’s not an upfront price, that’s a sales appointment. Very misleading, and not what Angi promises. I will be taking my business elsewhere."

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Montz, LA
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
