    In short, it went great! We were impressed by the number and quality of skilled professionals and the coordination among them. Once the construction started, they were able to finish the project in a month as they had estimated, in spite of many days of rain. The crew members showed up whenever they said, put in long hours, and were professional in all their dealings with us. It was clear how the crew members took pride in their work and how attentive they were to the details. Their coordination of work from delivery of materials, laying the foundation, framing the room, building the deck, and clean up was all we could have hoped for. They were flexible in working with us on the design and even went beyond what we agreed on in the original plans. We had already talked to four other "builders", but Kevin was the only one who really listened to what we were wanting - and then developed a plan that met our expectations. I felt like everyone else was trying to sell us a "package". Chris was our project manager - he did a awesome job! We emailed almost every day, he kept me informed on what was going on and the next steps - it wasn't me bugging him for info. Everyone we met did a great job. I will work with them again! (I felt like part of the team for our project.) And, they were the best price - BONUS!!! No surprise cost overruns either. This was our third major building project, but the first time I've felt good about the results (two others were different companies).     From the day we met with Kevin Kelly of Distinctive Design Remodeling until the day the job was finished, I have been impressed with every person who has worked on our patio cover. On the day the demo took place, the company was there to haul off the broken brick and like clock work afterwards the trash was removed. The framers, the roofers, the aluminum installers, the electricians, the finishers, the mason and especially the project managers are all first-rate craftsmen and really nice people.     We had an excellent experience with this company. The salesman explained the process to us before we got started and we were notified throughout the building process regarding the workers schedules. Any questions we had about the project were answered in a timely manner. The new room looks like it came with the house! The roof and siding matches great and the electrician and drywall finishers did a wonderful job on the interior. The electrician even installed a fan we provided to put in the addition. As this project moved along we had questions & issues regarding the construction. Every issue was addressed and the job was completed to our satisfaction. All materials and additional debris were cleaned up by the company before the job was considered complete. We plan on using this company again to drywall and finish our basement read less

    They completed their work as far as the construction of the house. The cost of the house was $83 per square foot. It took them 11 months and 15 days to complete the work which was during the covid pandemic. They also offered to pay for the invoice for the design plan to my house. The reason for the B rating is for the following reasons: I've got a couple of things that my house is still waiting to be fixed including plumbing to the shower and window shutters to be installed. The internet wire that runs to my living room is hidden as it is inside the insulation. We initially agreed on a price for a double sink vanity, but through confusion on their part, I got a single sink vanity. I did not want to make a bigger deal out of things so I settled with one of their remedies which was to add an extension to the vanity for an additional cost of just material. Initially when they poured the driveway, it was not poured correctly. I brought it to his attention and he asked me what I suggested he should do. I asked him if he could redo it and he laughed and said he can't do that. 3 weeks after I moved in to the house, the cracks that were already there got longer and another spot started to crumble. Only after he saw that, he then told me he would fix it. Magnus Home Builders accused my family saying that we sabotage the air conditioning system. They waited until I moved in to tell me they had changed the size of my laundry room. They reimbursed me with credit for my laundry washer. read less
