"We had a small "incident" in our garage which necessitated repair to our floor. Nate did our floor 5 years ago and it still looks great. He did some repair work and it looks great. Dependable, prompt and professional. Recommend callingl Nate Butcher for your garage floor needs."

Customers say: Terrific value

"I highly recommend this company for finish work and carpentry. Neon and his team did an incredible job on the finish work on my 1960's home. Everyone was on-time, crazy fast, and very polite to my wife and child. There were some challenges that the team had to overcome (that come with any old house) like non-level flooring, crooked walls and had framing but they never complained and always shared recommendations and solutions. I'll hire him again as soon as I have the chance- we're already talking about a new deck installation!"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Bamboo floors are fairly low-maintenance. You’ll need to sweep or vacuum them regularly to remove debris and rub off scuffs quickly to prevent permanent damage. Bamboo is vulnerable to moisture, so wipe up spills immediately to prevent permanent damage. When comparing bamboo flooring vs. hardwood, you’ll notice that the maintenance requirements are similar for both types of flooring.

Most people realize it is time to replace the padding when the carpet loses springiness or feels thin and unsupportive. Other telltale signs are lumps or dips in the carpet that could look unattractive or cause tripping hazards. Similarly, if your carpet is making a crinkly sound or starting to wear out prematurely, you might need to replace your padding.

Carpet is an effective natural insulator, so it will make a room slightly warmer than laminate. The material’s insulating properties also make carpeted rooms more efficient for temperature regulation.

If you live in a region with high humidity, carpet bubbling can occur regularly. A dehumidifier can help keep your carpet flat during the most humid months.

The average cost to install an epoxy garage floor is $2,514, with typical projects ranging from $750 to over $5,716. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $12. Several factors influence the total cost, including the total square footage, required surface preparations, the type and thickness of the epoxy, design complexity, decorative options, and labor costs. For example, an epoxy floor for a one-car garage may cost between $720 and $2,900, while a two-car garage can range from $1,100 to $4,300. Adding decorative elements like flakes can cost about $10 per 250-pound bag, and choosing a metallic epoxy can increase the price to between $5 and $12 per square foot. With proper care and maintenance, a well-installed epoxy floor can last for 10 to 20 years.
