"They came out to do a 12x13 paver patio for a hot tub with footings for a future gazebo. They came out quickly to give the bid, made the couple adjustments requested, and after catching an issue they didnâ t see the day of the bid, they fixed the issue for just the cost of materials. "Great crew and very good work. Professional, hard working, good relationship with the concrete compary so driver was happy to be talked into putting the truck where it needed to be. I have 50 years of experience and too old to do it any more. There guys do it the old fashion way like I always did it. I had some of my own equipment. They clean up and returned all of my stuff after the job was done and concrete was cured and uncovered. I will be using them again. I have always pulled TEST SAMPLES Beginning - Middle and End of a pour. Not with Tom Dugan. As an untrusting man, I trusted Dugan. I will have another 20 year's to pour in the late spring. I gave him lots of specification and drawing. Spoke to him and put it all in writing so we were clear. People buying services often do not do that. Tom Dugan read it and looked at it and we talk about it and HE DID IT ALL PERFECTLY. PS He is not a friend or relative but I respect him as a craftsman and artisan."

Fireclay is a type of clay but it is a type of clay that, because of its chemical composition, can be fired at a much higher temperature than other clays. This results in a denser and more heat-resistant final material. Because of the high percentage of a mineral called kaolin, fireclay sinks are smoother and more durable than other clay types.

It’s called cobblestone because it’s made of stones that are “cobbed” together. A cob is a term that refers to rounded lumps. Originally, cobblestone streets were made from pebbles and stones gathered from riverbeds that had been rounded over time by the passage of water. The term has nothing to do with a cobbler, which is the term for someone who makes and fixes shoes.

It is possible, albeit a lot slower, to break up a rock using water. You would do this by freezing and thawing the water. You could create some initial holes or cracks in the rock, then pour water into the cracks or holes and allow them to freeze (so it's best to do this in winter or in colder climates). Since water expands when it freezes, this puts pressure on the inside of the rock and causes it to crack. You could continue to pour more water in and let it freeze to continue to break up the rock.

When painting brick, each application method has distinct advantages and disadvantages. Spraying is significantly faster but may not penetrate deeply beyond the surface layer. Rolling is effective for working paint into the brick's texture but can be less effective on mortar joints. If you opt for a roller, choose a thick nap of at least a half-inch to ensure paint gets into all the crevices for even coverage. Using a brush is generally not recommended as it is very time-consuming and provides poor surface penetration. Ultimately, a combination of spraying followed by back-rolling is often the best strategy for a durable and even finish.
