"I thought about an addition for several years; then interviewed and received bids from about 6 companies. I wanted a workroom with: * built-in storage cabinets and desk * space for the washer, dryer, freezer, and sauna. * ample space for my projects JB Construction’s bid was reasonable and fair. Joe is professional, honest, responsive, and easy to work with. He finds and hires quality subcontractors, and I am impressed with the work that was completed on my addition. He is hands-on, was involved in the process, and checked in often as the work progressed. He actually did quite a bit of the work himself. I really appreciated how Joe suggested improvements that I never would have thought of. These included enlarging the space from 280 to 320 sq ft, adding a sun tunnel when the skylight wouldn’t work with the roof line, a built-in cabinet where a window was removed, an exterior electrical outlet, and an overhead light in the corner cupboard. Joe was able to salvage and reuse the old brick on the front of the addition. This, along with the two original windows integrated the addition seamlessly with the rest of the house. It was done so perfectly; neighbors have asked where the addition was built. I’m extremely picky and am thrilled with my new addition. It’s lovely, functional, and my preferred room in my house. Joe has a lot of repeat customer jobs and I can see why. This was a great experience and I’m glad I went with him. I plan to use JB Construction for future projects and recommend him to everyone I know."

"We hired Omni for a kitchen and bath remodel for an older 70s home. New cabinets, flooring and a wall demo turned a cramped, dated kitchen into a breath of fresh air. The work performed in our secondary bathroom also came out looking stellar. Very pleased with the results. There was a slight delay for the project due to certain material supply problems, but Omni was diligent in keeping us updated; good communication throughout. Would hire again."

Whenever I left a message, they got back to me right away. I always knew what was going on and what the schedule was. They went far beyond my expectations. They did little things, like cleaning out their equipment so I could use the garage on the weekends. I didn't expect that and didn't ask for it, but they did it without my saying anything. "We were very happy with the punctuality and responsiveness of A1. Steve emailed us a bid which broke down the areas which needed repaired giving us a price for each. Ultimately we decided to have all of the bid work done. We let them use their own judgement in rebuilding the front entryway in a manner similar to the original design. What they built was of the same style but is somewhat smaller and simpler (in a good way - fewer seams, less angled surfaces) and should be much easier to maintain. Most of the rest of the work was pretty straight forward wood rot repair adding horizontal cedar boards where the siding was rotting at the bottom. There was a fairly extensive amount of this sort of work and of course it all had to be painted afterwards. The only issue that came up was with the color of the trim around our front windows and garage. They originally matched their trim paint to a piece of trim on the house but we had wanted it matched to some paint we had leftover from the previous owners. When we pointed this out the mismatch with our expectations they were gracious about it and quickly fixed the issue. We are happy with the final product and would hire A1 again."

"Dean was a fantastic fit for our remodel! We removed a small bathroom, added a full bathroom in another section, replaced siding, moved windows, added a peninsula and replaced countertops. Dean was perfect for all of it! He's knowledgeable, shoots straight, and struck the right balance between speaking up and making our vision happen. There were times we had to push for what we wanted, and the final result always worked out so well. We regularly showed him examples of what we wanted, and it was great to see that quickly translate into steps and materials. I had no concerns about my small children being around his team. They were careful and kind. There were times where something was missed or messes were made, but it's construction. They always made it right. My main concern was my own fault. We added onto the project as we went, and periodically I didn't know where we stood with our budget. It all worked out, but a wiser me would have planned a smaller project to begin with. We ended up replacing some siding and wood rot per Dean's suggestion, and it was definitely the right call. Overall, I'd highly recommend H3 for medium-size projects!"
