Two words for you.  Lonnie Schauwecker!   He was our assigned craftsman, and he was awesome.  Conscientious, skilled, with a high attention to quality and detail, we would and will hire him, through Handyman Connection, again in a second.  I remember once we paid him a compliment, and he said, "I do jobs like I was doing them for myself".  That wasn't just talk.  That's exactly how he performed. 

Handyman Connection has a very appealing pattern to how they manage these jobs.  You get a detailed free estimate (and if you're like us, that's refreshing, after being accustomed to paying $80 just to get someone to your home), a firm start date for your project, and our craftsman (Lonnie) stayed on the job as persistently as he could weather permitting.  I assume this is their norm.  If you have an issue, which we never did, you can raise it with H.C. directly.  We never had to test this. 

Another cool thing:  You can buy your own materials, and avoid any mark-up.  You can also cooperate with your craftsman if the materials are out of your range of knowledge or ability to transport.  We did both.  We went and shopped for and purchased our own tile.  But we had our craftsman purchase and pick up the lumber for the fence for us, since we had no means of transporting it.  Either way, there was no cost mark-up to us.  We were given materials receipts for the lumber and items that our craftsman picked up for us. 

So, yes, we recommend this company, and Lonnie in particular.
