They are very fairly priced and you can tell that they don’t make it a goal to profit off of customers, but rather just make a living. Using a paint roller to paint your ceiling will allow you to cover the surface quicker and more evenly than using a brush. You may want to use a brush to cut in at the ceiling seam and around light fixtures, but it’s much faster and easier to use a roller for the bulk of the job.

Yes, it’s a good idea to use paint primer on your brick fireplace before painting it. Brick is highly absorbent, so your first few coats of paint will likely seep into the surface of your fireplace, allowing the natural color of the brick to seep through. To avoid this, you’ll want to use one or two coats of primer, followed by the topcoat. 

Bubbles can appear during painting for several reasons, but poor adhesion or trapped moisture are the most common. Painting over dirty, wet, or improperly prepared surfaces leads to air or moisture getting stuck under the paint layer. Using the wrong tools, applying paint too thickly, or working in extreme temperatures and humidity can also cause bubbling. In some cases, incompatible layers of old and new paint types, like latex over oil-based, create tension, leading to blisters and bubbles.

While you can paint brick or concrete pavers, you shouldn’t. Even with a matte finishing paint, it still creates a reflective surface where sunlight bounces off. This increases heat during summer months, making the pavers hard to walk on. The reflection can also damage your eyes. Finally, paint seals the pavers in the least desirable way and makes them impermeable, trapping water and moisture inside, which can cause other problems. Paint layers also chip easily.

Enamel paints that are oil- or lacquer-based are waterproof, making them great for outdoor surfaces. But water-based enamel paints are not waterproof, so double-check the paint can before painting your patio furniture.
