"The crews were extraordinarily polite, friendly, efficient, and very energetic. They ran into a lot of underground water when digging the trench for the buckled wall repair, but were able to put in the necessary reinforcements from inside the basement extending out to the trenched area. We live in an area with a lot of underground springs and artesian water, and when they began work the dirt under the foundation and crawl space was just wet mud, and water poured in at 36 inches deep as they created an outlet for the water to be safely drained away from the house. The basement is completely dry and we have a back up sump pump. My basement is surrounded by a crawl space since it was added after the house was built. The sump pumps and dehumidifier are warrantied for 5 years and the waterproofing has a lifetime warranty. Our house had problems because the basement was added after the house was built, but Indiana Foundation was able to make the house safe, and completely dry and usable. Since we live on a hillside, we will be adding a French drain behind the house and garage, far enough away to not further damage any of the foundations, but at the natural flow of the hillside where water collects to run down hill or underground. If we go at least 36 inches deep, it should help reduce some of the water that flows into the house area. This was some advice given by the supervisor at Indiana Foundation. They don't install French drains any longer, as they don't carry away all water and don't carry a guarantee, but in our situation it will probably help and is something I will be contracting out in the near future. The French drain is similar to what farmers install in fields to drain away excess water to a creek or deep ditch. It isn't something we have to do, but it will put a lot less strain on the sump pumps and other equipment, and in case of a long term power outage, would likely save our other appliances too (furnace, water heater, walls, etc.). I love the battery back up pump and it has already been in use twice when we had two separate power outages from storms. The workmen from Indiana Foundation were delightful to have in my home, running in and out with loads of materials, cheerfully hammering the walls and floors to install their system. Second: My electrician was able to repair a line running to our garage after the water problem was resolved. Water poured in over the connections in the basement without our realizing it, and no electricity was live in the back room of the garage. New basement, New Electric, New Plumbing - we are very happy with the results!"

"I have a contract with them. I've been very pleased with them. I had a contract with them that I had originally got as a special deal. It was very reasonable. They come out and check the furnace and then they check the plumbing and the air conditioner at a different time. They did the plumbing at the same time as the air conditioner this year. So, I guess it's two times. I've always been very satisfied with them, and I think they're honest and as far as I could see I think they do a good job. From my point of view with my contract, I think they're reasonable. If you have extra things to do and you have a contract with them you get a bit of a discount if you have to call them at another time. I think they are good people. They use to send a thank-you note; I don't know if they're still doing that. I got a 10% discount on that because I'm a member and I renewed my yearly check ups. To provide and install the tub spout was 179.23 minus 10% that's $17.93 and then the work under the kitchen was $65 and that totaled 226.39. As far as I can tell in this day and age, I think that seems reasonable. But, I don't know I haven't had any plumbing work done in quite awhile. But, the thing about this is that I really trust them, so far so good. I started with them in 2012, so that was five years ago. I sign up as they said every year just one time, for me, I pay $129, but I think they haven't increased it for people like us who have been with them the whole way. I'm not sure if it's $129 for somebody new, it might be a little more than that. They completely check the furnace and then explain the air conditioning. Then they move to your water heater and drain that if you have one like that needs to be drained. Then they check the plumbing fitting and that's when we found out we needed knew fitting, well actually I knew. For 129 to get the three checkups during the year, I think it's reasonable. It seems like a fair price to me."
