Thank you for choosing Quality Snow and Ice Services, LLC. We offer premier tree and stump services and removal as well as servicing commercial snow removal clients. Please take time to take a look at the process of how we work and rest assured that your job will be done the right time the first time.

"Dave showed up and was initially very friendly. We agreed on a price and he started. I finished at an appropriate time, I left all of the wood chips and was notified that the dirt pile we were moving next to the stump may have covered some of the stump. He told me to let him know if some were left and he would come back for it. I tipped him an extra $50 for how fast he was and that he just showed up when we started looking. A couple of weeks later, I let him know some was left. Got a short okay I will come back soon. 2 weeks went by and then I reached out again asking if he knew when about he would be back. No more responding back to me. This was 2 months ago and we are now having to find a way to finish the removal ourselves after paying $550."

"Bryan and his crew did sn excellent job removing an ornamental pear tree from our property. When they were done there was not even a leaf fron the tree on the ground I was really impressed with the clean up. He had to come back after gas and electric was marked and removed the stump and the sprawling roots. Bryan and his wife Stephanie are so nice. Excellent company. I would highly them. "

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

Sudden oak death and oak wilt are different diseases. Oak wilt first shows up in tree leaves while sudden oak death affects the branches and trunk. However, as symptoms in both can overlap, it’s best to consult a professional arborist tree expert for a proper diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.

Cutting off dead branches and pruning your trees can help promote growth and prevent safety hazards, such as falling limbs during storms. Pruning can also promote fruit production, treat disease, and remove unwanted growth. However, hiring a professional to prune and trim your trees can ensure it is done correctly and will keep them healthy.

In extreme cases, cutting a tree’s roots can cause it to eventually fall if the roots that were trimmed affect the tree’s structure and stability. If you make severe cuts to roots that are more than 2 inches in diameter, you run the risk of affecting the tree’s water flow as well as its ability to withstand severe winds or storms that could cause it to fall.
