"I can't even begin to express how wonderful it was to deal with Fernandez Tree Service. First off, when Humberto told me he would be there to give an estimate....he was there, the time frame he gave me to remove the trees was spot on. Price was more than fair. The customer service that we received was one of the best experiences I have had in a while. Humberto and the crew that came out were fantastic!! If anyone needs the service that they provide please give them a call, you will not regret it. Please do not hesitate to use their service."

Customers say: True professional

"Great, fast work. They were removing a very large tree that had fallen onto my car. They were completely done cutting it down and grinding the stump before the tow truck even arrived!"

"Ramos Tree service did a fabulous ? job. His prices were reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves and came back the next day as promised to remove the stump. The only thing I didn't like is we agreed on the work being done at 3 pm, and they showed up at 8 am.I had to leave them at my home because I had something else to do. Other than that, they were fantastic, and I will use again and / or recommend them."

"Alan was very professional and did a great job removing 2 pine trees in front of our home. They arrived at the scheduled time. In less than an hour, they were done and cleaned up. Impressed and very pleased with him and his crew professionalism. His price was very reasonable and was lower than other providers I canvassed. I highly recommend Alan and his crew. A job well done!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In Chicago, tree removal for smaller trees can usually be completed within half a day, while larger or more complex jobs may extend to two days. Tree trimming and pruning often take a few hours, depending on canopy size. Stump grinding is typically finished in a couple of hours. Always factor in possible weather delays and permit processing time, which can occasionally extend the overall timeline.

Helpful?

Homes in Chicago benefit from tree service if you notice dead limbs, crowded branches, or trees leaning toward structures. Signs of disease, pest infestation, or roots lifting sidewalks also indicate a need for professional assessment. If you’re planning construction or want to improve sunlight in your yard, a tree maintenance evaluation can help determine the best approach for your property.

Helpful?

In Chicago, you’ll find certified arborists focused on tree health and maintenance, tree removal experts skilled in safe takedowns, and crews specializing in emergency storm response. Some contractors handle tree trimming near power lines, while others focus on landscape tree planting or routine tree care. Choosing a contractor with experience in your specific project type ensures the best results for your property.

Helpful?

For tree service in Chicago, it’s best to use sharp chainsaws and pole saws for efficient tree trimming and removal, along with sturdy hand pruners for detailed work. Safety gear, such as helmets, gloves, and harnesses, is essential. In winter, anti-slip boots and de-icing materials help crews stay safe. Wood chippers and stump grinders designed for Chicago’s dense clay soil make cleanup and stump grinding more effective.

Helpful?

Before starting tree service in Chicago, confirm if permits are required for your project and arrange for underground utility lines to be marked. Notify neighbors if work may affect shared boundaries or cause noise. Schedule your project during favorable weather, gather multiple estimates from local tree service providers, and take photos of your property beforehand to document existing conditions and avoid misunderstandings.
