"2/14/26 Nic Trees Fidel's service definitely deserves 5 stars! He climbed up the tree to cut down and remove a huge tree branch that was blown and fallen onto our roof. He worked very skillfully and carefully to section the branch and lowered the trunk pieces onto the ground away from our house. He is very responsive to our call for service, came to price out the job the next day, and had the job done two days later. I highly recommend his service!!!!!"
"I can't even begin to express how wonderful it was to deal with Fernandez Tree Service. First off, when Humberto told me he would be there to give an estimate....he was there, the time frame he gave me to remove the trees was spot on. Price was more than fair. The customer service that we received was one of the best experiences I have had in a while. Humberto and the crew that came out were fantastic!! If anyone needs the service that they provide please give them a call, you will not regret it. Please do not hesitate to use their service."
"Showed up on time and explained the process the whole way through. Juan and his team took down 2 mature and sick trees from my small yard and were careful not to damage the house, garage or other plantings. Great work! Recommending to my family and neighbors."
"Fantastic job! My neighbor secured Prime to have 2 of their trees trimmed. I observed from across the street & I was impressed. I then asked 1 of the workers for their business card. The following week, my neighbor down the block had secured Prime for their dying tree. I was so impressed with the workers, the equipment they used, their skills. One of the workers even scaled the very tall tree. I contracted to have my 35 ft Blue Spruce removed. The tree was healthy being care for by Davy’s Tree Service. It had grown way too tall for my ranch style home. Prime Tree Care, Inc of Blue Island, Illinois emailed the contact with all details spelled out clearly. I like the professional approach of their contract along with forwarding a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance without requesting the document. This is the most professional tree service I have ever contracted. I am a gardener with 40 yrs gardening experience; I know excellent when I see it!"
"After the recent storms, I needed a large tree branch removed from my property. I got three quotes, and this company came in about $200 lower than the others. They arrived the same day, about 4–5 hours after I called, and the two-person crew did a great job removing the large branch and other debris. They brought their own wood chipper and worked quickly and professionally. The cleanup could have been a little more thorough, but that’s a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the work. Their customer service was excellent, and they completed the desired task needed. I would definitely recommend them for tree removal services."
"Ramos Tree service did a fabulous ? job. His prices were reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves and came back the next day as promised to remove the stump. The only thing I didn't like is we agreed on the work being done at 3 pm, and they showed up at 8 am.I had to leave them at my home because I had something else to do. Other than that, they were fantastic, and I will use again and / or recommend them."
"Alan was very professional and did a great job removing 2 pine trees in front of our home. They arrived at the scheduled time. In less than an hour, they were done and cleaned up. Impressed and very pleased with him and his crew professionalism. His price was very reasonable and was lower than other providers I canvassed. I highly recommend Alan and his crew. A job well done!"
"Communication was great, the work was completed as requested, and the price was competitive. They removed a very large maple tree and trimmed other trees in the area. Highly recommend!"
"Fransico responded within minutes of me inquiring about stump removal on Angi. He was here the next morning and provided fast, friendly service! 100% would use you again!!! They cleaned up after thenselves and were very respectful! Thankyou!!"
There are four common ways to prune a tree correctly: crown thinning, crown reduction, crown raising, and crown cleaning. The method you choose depends on the purpose of pruning. However, making the correct cuts is a vital part of the process, regardless of your method. Pruning incorrectly can damage or even kill the tree. So, you may want to hire a professional tree-trimming company to tackle the task.
Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.
Palm trees will not regrow from a stump once the tree has been cut down. This type of tree is unique because the root and stump system will slowly decay after the tree is gone, unlike other species that can regrow. That’s why it’s preferable to remove dead or decaying palm tree stumps quickly as they can become an eyesore and don’t offer future growing potential.
Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.
That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.
If you’re wondering why tree trunks are painted white in your area, it’s usually to prevent sunscald, a condition where extreme shifts in temperature can cause tree bark to split. Fruit trees are especially vulnerable to sunscald, so this treatment is worth considering if it’s something that affects your trees.
