They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

In most cases, inspection costs are not included in closing costs. The inspection is usually a standalone expense the buyer or seller covers by choice. Closing costs are normally required and designed to cover other costs, such as appraisal fees, title search fees, and attorney fees.

Repiping your home creates a large mess, and you won’t have access to water while your contractors are working. To prepare, contractors will cover the floor and furniture with drop clothes. In some cases, they may move furniture to protect it and get it out of the way. They’ll then cut holes in your walls, floors, and ceiling to expose the existing pipes.

They’ll also turn off your water, but they’ll leave at least one bathroom and the kitchen functioning at the end of the day. You’ll need to plan accordingly.

The foundation, roof, and the home’s major systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) will take the longest to inspect since problems with any of these areas can point to safety or structural issues. An attic inspection or basement inspection may also take extra time to complete so the inspector can look for signs of moisture damage, mold, or pest problems, all of which are common in these spaces.
