"We were told we were getting insulated windows (Addison Plus) but got Addison Lite which is a lower grade of windows. Being a consumer we don't know the names of these windows & the windows we got are more drafty than what they took out. We've had service out several times & said everything is good just not insulated. When we contacted sales Lisa sent us a nasty response saying this is what you got & I will not be responding to any other emails or phone calls. I've called Corporate several times & no help, they just keep sending service out."

"I just don't know where to begin to say how impressed I was with Jeff and his crew. I have never hired a contractor before and I feel I hit the pot of gold with Jeff! First of all he came out when he said he would and he really actually acted interested in my home. I live in a 120 year old, 3 story historical home in Irvington and this was not going to be an easy undertaking!!! Jeff and his crew walked around my home, looking at the foundation, windows, guttering, etc.. unlike all the other contractors who looked at the front and gave a written estimate right then and there. Jeff came back several days later as he said he would and had a detailed written estimate that included tucking the foundation, rebuilding the porch railing, epoxying the porch and painting (hand painted 2 coats) the house and garage in the traditional 3 colors of paint that most Irvington homes have. This price was $8,125.00. For an additional 1500.00 he removed every storm window in my home (22 windows), painted the inside of the window sills, cleaned the windows and reinstalled along with caulking. He also let me pick 6-7 paint color swatches that he painted on the house to help me pick what colors I was going with. He used good treated wood that was stained for the porch railing as well.The whole crew were respectful, trustworthy, kind, organized and clean. After Jeff and his crew painted, my home it looked brand new! I feel so blessed to have hired these people and I highly recommend them to anyone! They had my garage door opener for the 3 weeks they were there and not one thing was out of place. Some of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. I gave a little extra for the detail and care that they put into this job as well."

"JD Hostetter struggled with simple tasks like getting the right paint, putting trim in the right spot, or following basic installation instructions. They repeatedly no-call-no-showed, and often just appeared in my yard without warning. My family felt unsafe when the owner, Tom, said he visited my property unscheduled & unannounced while we were inside unaware. When I later met Tom, I was shouted at and talked down to. He kicked & broke my garden light with no apology. His workers were similar; his painter angrily demanded I get on the roof myself when I politely asked him to fix a mistake. The siding they first put on was warped due to poor install and had to be redone. The cheap stuff they replaced it with doesn't match my house. It's lower grade (18-S/W) than even my shed's siding, and they only gave it 1 spotty coat of paint. Also, 2 roofing companies investigating a water leak both stated it was due to flashing damage by JD Hostetter. I've had no response from them about this."
