Customers say: True professional

"Anthony has been amazing anytime we have needed him for a hot tub repair. I first hired him last summer for a repair, we chose to have him epoxy the leak (cost less and were looking at purchasing a new hot tub he said this repair would prob last about a year) He just finished repairing /replacing the part needed and told me there's nothing wrong with our Royal Spa even though it's about 12-13 years old and said w/this repair we could probably get another 5 years out of it. He took his time and answered questions we had about our pool as well. Great guy with a lot of knowledge. He also works on above ground pools if you need someone for that too! Cost was MUCH less than the large pool/hot tub stores!!"

"Eddie’s pool did a phenomenal job replastering our pool. He repaired multiple leaks, installed new tile surround and replastered the whole pool. It looks brand new! Eddie was easy to work with, fairly priced and completed the job faster than we anticipated. Highly recommend for any of your pool repair/remodel needs!"

When your hot tub is not in use, you can keep it at a constant soaking temperature of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. For extended periods of non-use, you can lower the temperature by about five degrees. This slight decrease makes it easier and quicker to heat back up to a desirable level when you're ready to use it again. Additionally, you might consider lowering the temperature by a couple of degrees during the summer to avoid feeling overheated.

Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. If your lawn has a dedicated drainage area that’s free from plants and foundations, you can likely drain it there. Avoid storm drains, as the hot tub water will enter waterways and could hurt aquatic life. Likewise, do not pour it out directly on any public land or where it can get into your neighbors’ property.

A compact unit designed for two to three people typically weighs approximately 500 pounds in its empty state. On the other hand, a larger hot tub meant for up to six people can weigh around 1,000 pounds when empty. Materials used also impact weight. Less expensive hot tubs are typically lighter because they are made of molded plastic or fiberglass.

Shocking your hot tub means adding extra chemicals to the water. Most spa experts recommend doing this once a week for proper hot tub maintenance, but you can do it more if needed. Shocking has multiple benefits, including preventing the water from becoming murky and it’s essential in removing harmful bacteria from the water.

Though a hot tub has many benefits, there are a few cons. Mainly, hot tubs require a lot of maintenance. You’ll need to deep clean yours quarterly, test the pH at least once or twice a week, and add sanitizing chemicals once a week. They also have relatively high ongoing costs since you’ll need to pay for electricity and repairs.
