Mermaid Pool, Spa Patio is an Indiana pool,spa and patio specialty company serving Anderson, Muncie, and surrounding communities in Indiana for over 30 years.

"Worst Experience! They installed the wrong liner, large footprints under the liner going down the middle of the pool, gravel under the liner all over the stainless steel steps and walls, forgot to install the second skimmer (which was on the purchase agreement), diving board was installed wrong twice (the first time it wasn't even hanging over the water, and now it is just a little bit hanging over the water), the concrete work was disgusting (looked like a kid did it) so they had to tear it out and re-pour (during the tear out, they tore up the coping and motor compartment of the new auto cover). We wanted the pool company to come and inspect the pool (all the pipes, etc... before the new concrete was poured but they never showed up). We went through three salt water cells the first year they put it in (supposed to be new cells), and the pool started leaking the first year they put it in. They also put a small drainage vent in at the back of our house but forgot to put an outlet so the water goes under our house. There is a drainage problem and our liner floats to the top with water underneath. This pool was installed in July 2016 and we still don't have these things fixed. I filed a Consumer Complaint but they refused to work with the Attorney General's Office also! We don't know what to do!!!!"

However, it's crucial to note that this timeline can change due to factors like water temperature, sanitation levels, and the quality of your hot tub cover. Regular maintenance and water testing are essential to ensure the water remains safe and clean during periods of inactivity.

Hot tub repairs cost between $200 and $500 on average. You can minimize those costs by maintaining your hot tub and keeping necessary supplies on hand. An elevated shelf in the garage is a great place to store your water care chemicals so that kids and pets will stay safe and you’ll always have them around. 

Your hot tub should be drained of existing water, cleaned, and refilled every three to four months at a minimum. Follow your tub manufacturer’s recommendations for cleaning, and rinse thoroughly when finished to eliminate any residue from the cleaning products. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. If your lawn has a dedicated drainage area that’s free from plants and foundations, you can likely drain it there. Avoid storm drains, as the hot tub water will enter waterways and could hurt aquatic life. Likewise, do not pour it out directly on any public land or where it can get into your neighbors’ property. 

Most outdoor hot tubs last between five and 20 years, excluding inflatable tubs, which last five to seven years.
