Customers say: Quality work

"Francisco and his entire crew are great to work with. I was completely satisfied by their dedication to the quality of the the work they have done. I didnâ t think anyone cared so much about precision and craftsmanship anymore but they certainly proved me wrong. I have no reservations about recommending them."

"Tony came out and offered up a different vision that others did not. He redid our front landscape area and while out I asked him if they could prune up some trees and shrubs. Both tackled just fine and the areas look great."

"I first hired Begley Masonry to rebrick/rebuild our chimney and they did a fantastic job. When we sold our house, the company that did the chimney/fireplace inspection even commented on how good the work was. After that great experience we hired them again to pour a concrete sidewalk and again not disappointed! Great family oriented business with very fair prices - would recommend to friends and family."

"Emerald Meadows landscaping was very accommodating to some restrictive scheduling availability on my part. They came out on very short notice and submitted a written estimate to me in a very timely manner. They were very polite, professional and their estimate was reasonable. I would not hesitate to consider them again for future projects."

"Jake did an excellent job from start to finish and completed the work ahead of schedule. He was a pleasure to work with. Listened to what we wanted. Made suggestions. And combined it all together in a perfect custom pergola for our patio. We will definitely hire him again for future projects."

"The work has not started yet due to weather, so I cannot really rate them at this time as requested by HomeAdvisor. I have hired Budde Landscaping to repair a brick driveway. I am hoping to hear from them in the next few days on the status for starting work this month as they planned. Once the work is completed, I will give a more complete review. Given the great reviews posted for Budde Landscaping, I am confident I will be very happy with the results."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.

The best height for a pizza oven is one that allows the user to easily see what’s going on inside and comfortably place pies without having to crouch over. In general, that means the opening should be between 36 and 48 inches off the ground. By contrast, the height of the dome is totally up to your preference, because different heights create different results. Shorter domes are better for creating Neapolitan-style pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for NY-style recipes.

Quartz countertops are not recommended for outdoor use. While durable indoors, they are not designed to withstand outdoor conditions like sunlight, weather, and high heat from barbeque grills. Exposure to these elements, particularly UV rays, can cause the resins in the quartz to break down, leading to discoloration and damage to the surface. For a longer-lasting outdoor countertop, it is better to choose a natural stone like granite, which has greater resistance to these elements.

For outdoor kitchens, it's best to use wood that is naturally resistant to weather elements like water and heat, which can cause fading, mold, or mildew. Excellent choices include teak, Brazilian walnut, white oak, and mahogany. Avoid softwoods such as pine and cedar, as they are more susceptible to damage and can catch fire easily. Regardless of the wood you choose, it should be pressure-treated for extra protection and regularly maintained with sealants, oils, and stains.

Yes, an outdoor kitchen can increase your home's value, as outdoor living areas are increasingly popular among potential homebuyers. The return on investment (ROI) can vary significantly, with estimates ranging from 50% to as high as 200%. In many cases, homeowners can expect to at least break even on the project. The final ROI depends on several factors, including the kitchen's size, design, and quality, the materials used, and whether it was professionally installed. Other considerations that impact value are your home's location, how well the kitchen is maintained, and how soon you sell after the remodel. However, be mindful that an outdoor kitchen that takes up a large portion of your usable yard space could be seen as a drawback by some buyers.
