Customers say: Super punctual

"I have been using Mike as my Heating and A/C guy for 17 years and he is awesome! He is very personable, professional, knowledgable, and reasonably proced. He has never tried to sell me anything I don't need (like some others I dealt with). I have also used him for emergencies (water heater) and he has been there when I needed him."

"I didn't give them a quality grade yet because they haven't done anything other than inspections, but so far I'm very pleased. Most importantly, I've been impressed with their honesty. They've had two opportunities to tell me equipment was broken or needed replacement or service, and I wouldn't have known otherwise, and yet both times they've been honest and upfront, telling me no service was needed. From what I've experienced and heard, this is a rare quality in an HVAC company and I'm glad I've chosen to work with them."

"I would recommend this business to anyone that needs HVAC service. The experience and service provided by Roy Rogers was great. The technician arrived on time. He was both thorough and informative during and after the service. I didn’t feel pressured to make any purchases. He simply presented the facts/solutions to allow me to make an informed decision."

"The service and everything was fine. We had just some issues that was out of their control. We had to put in a few different water heaters and then they had to removed the few different water heaters before we had to upgrade so the price was a little bit higher than we wanted but it was kind of out of everyone's control at that point. The guys were really nice. They made a lot of trips to the house. One thing that I would say is that they leave just a little bit of a mess that they didn't clean up in the laundry area. I think it was a pretty good experience."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling.

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.

The compressor is the heart of your AC system and is one of the most important parts required to keep it functioning properly. If your AC unit is making a popping, banging, clanging, clicking, or screeching sound, it could point to a problem with the compressor. If the unit is physically vibrating, that can also be an indication that your AC compressor is going bad.

Modern AC leak sealants work as a temporary measure to stop refrigerant leaks. You can purchase them at most home improvement stores or on online. When using an AC leak sealant, keep in mind that it’s only a temporary solution, so you’ll still need to hire a pro to install a replacement part as soon as possible.

To make the most out of your AC, consider implementing the following best practices:

  • Choose the right size AC for your home to ensure your unit runs as efficiently as possible.

  • Choose a window with shade, as direct sunlight can cause your AC unit to overheat.

  • Clean or replace the filter at least every two months.

  • Inspect the AC’s fan and straighten it if necessary.

  • Discontinue use immediately if you suspect a malfunction, as running the AC while broken can lead to significant issues.

  • Turn off (or adjust the temperature) when you leave the house.

Assessing location for airflow, convenience, and minimal noise impact.
