"Roy is wonderful - - I mean truly a find.   He knew I had been without A/C for days and squeezed me in to make sure me and my family would be cool for the weekend.   I called other HVAC companies and all turned me away saying they were too busy or they wouldn't be able to see me for several days.   While Roy was working on my A/C his phone rang non-stop with others (like me) in desperate need for help.  Even though he told me he planned on taking the weekend off, he later said he had so many people that needed help that he was going to work Saturday (and late Friday) with the hopes of having Sunday off.   Not only is he very helpful but very knowledgeable about his trade.    He stands behind his work, doesn't take advantage of people when they are in need, etc.  Actually since he found the leak so quickly he lowered his quoted price - he didn't have to do that but he is just that honest.    He will be my 'go to guy' for my HVAC needs.   I also told my family about him and told them they need to use them for repairs and tune-ups on their homes.

"It was very affordable compared to a brand new central air. It was more efficient. I liked their professionalism. The owner of the company came out first. He did the estimate. He had a very professional demeanor and he was very concerned about the quality. He was making sure that when they left the site, the home was in better condition than it was when they got there."

"Mike installed both of our geothermal furnaces in 2004 when we bought our home and discovered that neither were working properly- problems missed on inspection. He gave us the best pricing on the installation of the 3 companies that bid and has been fair on pricing since that time.  He has helped with whatever minor issues have occurred. There are two main reasons your furnace and AC are turning on at the same time. The first could be that you’re confusing the furnace with the blower. The blower is located in the furnace and will turn on to distribute cool air from the air conditioner through the ductwork in the home. This is normal. If the actual furnace is turning on at the same time as the AC and hot and cool air are coming into the home, it could be a result of incorrect writing to a new thermostat or new systems.

While all portable AC units will collect moisture as part of their cooling and dehumidifying process, whether and how often you need to drain them depends on what kind of unit you have and the natural humidity levels where you live. For example, if you live in a very dry area and have a self-evaporating unit, you may not need to drain your portable AC very often at all. Some units may automatically drain collected moisture out the window through their exhaust vent.

Your AC might not cool after a power outage because of a tripped circuit breaker, blown fuse, or damage to the compressor or capacitor. If you notice your AC not working after a power outage, in most cases, the breaker has tripped or the system has built-in brownout and blackout protection. Reboot the AC by turning it off at the thermostat, resetting the circuit breaker, and waiting 30 minutes to turn the AC on again. 

While an air conditioner can temporarily run with a dirty filter, it is not recommended as it will not work efficiently. A dirty filter forces the system to work harder to circulate cool air, leading to reduced airflow, increased wear and tear, and higher energy bills. This added strain can cause the air conditioner to overheat or fail prematurely. Furthermore, a clogged filter may allow dust and dirt to accumulate in your ductwork, negatively impacting air quality. It is more cost-effective to clean or replace filters regularly than to pay higher utility bills and risk needing to replace the entire AC unit.

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling. 

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.
