"It went extremely well. The technician was professional and thorough. He spend at least 30 minutes with me reviewing the current configuration to ensure that the replacement water heater would meet our needs. We switched from a tank water heater to a tankless water heater and couldn't be happier. The tech did a great job with the installation and left the area clean and organized."

"Roy came out and gave me an estimate which I thought was reasonable. He explained what he would do and what he would throw in. I got a new Trane 95% efficiency 100000 BTU furnace and 3 ton a/c unit, a new thermostat, and a small pump to pump the water from the AC and heater to my washer drain. He had to make some changes to the intake duct including making a new spot with a door for the filter, and capped the flue to the chimney since the new furnaces are vented differently. I also got a new 50 gallon water heater. He threw in a 10 year parts and labor warranty on the HVAC system provided I do twice a year maintenance, and threw in the first 2 years of maintenance for free. It was a three day install. The first day they installed the water heater and removed the old water heater and HVAC. He also hauled off an old dishwasher I had replaced over the weekend. The next two days was installing the new HVAC. We decided on a new spot for the outside unit which was better than where the old one was. Better air circulation and more secure. Roy always kept me informed as to what they were doing and how long he expected it to take. Roy and his crew were very courteous and left my basement cleaner and in better shape than when they started. I am very happy with the work he did for me and I'm very satisfied with the new equipment and highly recommend him."

"Chris, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the type of furnace we needed, as well as could afford. He knew how big it should be for the size of the house. We have been using it this winter and even in the coldest period, it kept the temperature perfect. Chris did the install in minimal time and with professionalism. He even put in a flap, so that if we wanted to use our wood furnace it would close off the gas furnace flu, so the electronics would not overheat. We were very comfortable with him in our home."

"

Everything went great.  He showed up on time and was very professional.  We provided the hardware and he did the rest.  He removed and disposed off the old sink and faucet, installed a drop in sink, replaced the hardware and even put in new flexible tubing.

We couldn't be happier with the work they provided.

"Prompt, courteous, professional through entire process.  Very experienced with new technology, information, and has installed over 60 of the high efficient "communicating" Carrier high efficiency systems. They  know what they are doing.
Very clean install which was very important to me.
System is exceptionally quiet and exceptionally capable.  99% ofthe time I do not even know it is running without looking at the thermostat.  Thermostat Programming is easy, and love the features of seeing therm usage, energy cost, and operating details of system, as well as single touch 5 day weather forecast.  Most of the time it strolls along at 40%.  Love variable speed fan, and modulating gas features.  Helped me with registration of equipment and rebate submission. Looking forward to gas savings and electric savings from the features/benefits of the system.  Installed high quality ac at same time and realized savings.  The new
ac is a work of art.  I am a very particular homeowner, and it is rare that I am this pleased with a purchase.  This company has reasonable overhead, tons of experience and qualifications, which allow them to provide very high quality systems at what I consider to be very fair and reasonable prices.  This is my perspective from having spent decades in sales and marketing.  I just really could not be happier.  My suggestion is to get several estimates with high quality brands, and, make sure that Irish Air is in the mix.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Many HVAC companies offer free quotes and free estimates for repairs and new HVAC systems. Others offer low-cost quotes or apply the cost of the estimates or diagnostics to your final bill if you hire them. Be aware that some companies advertise free HVAC quotes and recoup the costs by charging more for their services. Free HVAC quotes are never truly free—they cost the company time and effort—so be a good customer. Also understand that you may end up paying for free quotes in another way if you don’t hire a reputable company.

Most propane boilers last 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance and proper care. The lifespan depends on the quality of the unit, proper installation, and the level of maintenance. Investing in annual service can maximize longevity and efficiency. Routine inspections and timely repairs prevent early breakdown, ensuring your boiler heats your home for years to come.

The best way to compare HVAC quotes is getting a few detailed quotes from local companies with good reputations. Then, go over the quotes line by line. Protect yourself by insisting on in-person estimates that include equipment manufacturer names, model numbers, SEER ratings, amounts and numbers of materials, details of warranties on equipment and labor, and other specifics.

Knowing the exact equipment and materials is the only way that you can fairly compare quotes. Quotes that are much lower than others can be a sign that the company isn’t providing the best quality service or materials.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

When winter rolls around, and you turn the heat on for the first time in a year, it’s normal to sense a light odor. This could smell a little like burning because some dust has gathered in the heating unit over the warm months and will fade away shortly after. However, there are some smells you should watch out for and take caution around: an egg-like sulfur smell or an electrical burn odor would indicate there’s something wrong. Turn it off and call a professional for maintenance as soon as possible.
