Originally I called for a diagnostic of my AC unit, which was doing a terrible job cooling my house. Nikita did the diagnostic-turns out the coolant was leaking, a coil needed to be replaced, and not to mention the thing was from the 1990's. We decided to replace and upgrade it, as well as our furnace, since we froze last winter (turns out it was badly rusted on the inside and emitting CO into the house, which NO ONE found last winter (had it looked at by 4 different people and everyone said there was nothing wrong except that the BTU's were too small for the size of the house). Roy was so awesome, because even though they couldn't schedule us for the next 3 weeks, he made sure we stayed cool-he filled up the coolant and came over to the house a couple times when the AC stopped working. I will be keeping him as our heating and cooling guy!

Roy had a new grandchild today (April 16, 2019) and still made time to see me. If that doesn't exemplify dedication, what does?

I called for service around 8:00 in the morning on a hot July day. Roy answered the phone himself and we discussed the problem. He arrived around 3:00 that afternoon and was able to diagnose a leaking evaporator coil. At my request, he also talked to me about some DIY maintenance items. Roy had a busy schedule but arranged to come back in two days to do the needed repair. He arrived an hour ahead of schedule two days later and how the A/C up and running in under four hours. In addition to the work I had contracted him for, he went above and beyond, replacing another faulty part without extra charge, cleaning up my outdoor unit, and even cleaning up the weeds I had let grown up around and under the outdoor unit.

Furnace failed on Sunday, New Year's Eve, below zero temps - doesn't it figure? Found Roy's company here on Angie's List and Roy himself came to our home, found the problem and went SEVERAL extra miles (literally!) to make sure that we had heat that evening! No extra charge in spite of it being a Sunday and a holiday. We found Roy to be caring, personable and obviously knows his stuff. We will be definitely be calling Roy Rogers Heating & Air for our future HVAC needs!

A lot of people said you need to get a least three quotes before you get something done from a company. When I had my fourth or fifth quote I know this is the guy I want for my new a/c. He did not pay me to write this review but this purely costumer experience. He and his crew are right on time, told me the expectations, clean work and he treated me like a real customer. His quote is competetive from the other and he is very professional. I get to know the whole crew from Roy, Dustin, Wes, Marvin and Dan because they are personable. Roy and his crew went above and beyond by putting a new lineset to where the old one was located and it was a very difficult job to do but they got the job done. My wife and I were happy with result. If you need a new HVAC or just a repair look for the one that is local just like Roy Rogers don't go with a nationwide chain. I highly recommend this company.

Everything went well! Provider was prompt and work was performed at the quoted price. He worked well with our schedule and was easy to work with.

Roy came out and gave me an estimate which I thought was reasonable. He explained what he would do and what he would throw in. I got a new Trane 95% efficiency 100000 BTU furnace and 3 ton a/c unit, a new thermostat, and a small pump to pump the water from the AC and heater to my washer drain. He had to make some changes to the intake duct including making a new spot with a door for the filter, and capped the flue to the chimney since the new furnaces are vented differently. I also got a new 50 gallon water heater. He threw in a 10 year parts and labor warranty on the HVAC system provided I do twice a year maintenance, and threw in the first 2 years of maintenance for free. It was a three day install. The first day they installed the water heater and removed the old water heater and HVAC. He also hauled off an old dishwasher I had replaced over the weekend. The next two days was installing the new HVAC. We decided on a new spot for the outside unit which was better than where the old one was. Better air circulation and more secure. Roy always kept me informed as to what they were doing and how long he expected it to take. Roy and his crew were very courteous and left my basement cleaner and in better shape than when they started. I am very happy with the work he did for me and I'm very satisfied with the new equipment and highly recommend him.

I finally needed to replace my 23 year old furnace and was not happy with my current HVAC service provider so I started shopping around. I knew I wanted a Trane system so started at the trane.com website and saw that Roy Rogers was an authorized provider. I read their YP and Angie's List reviews and was impressed with what I saw so I contacted them. Dustin called me back within an hour and by that afternoon was at my door to take a look, answer my questions and provide me with a solution. I compared them to other larger installers and decided I wanted to give them my business. The installation went very smoothly, they were on-time and met every promise. There was a hiccup in the furnace the first night but Roy came right back out and within 15 minutes, problem solved. No issues since and it has been running great. I would highly recommend these folks for anyone looking to maintain or replace their HVAC system.

He's done a bunch of work for us and he does a great job!  I was so happy with this job that I had him come back and replace my furnace.

It was making weird noises.  The owner himself came out to fix it.  It again started making noises, so he came again and explained the main core was messed up. So they replaced it.  Once he got it all apart, he sent me pictures of the inside of the main furnace showing that, indeed, the main housing of it was cracked.  He could've sent me a picture of a moon shot and I wouldn't have known the difference. But after he was paid, he sent me pictures of it all and thanked me for trusting him.  He had the courtesy to follow up.

He did a check up and said that a transformer was going bad on my outside unit, so I had him replace it for $75 dollars. He then took out my furnace filter and there was more air flow in the house (airflow wasn't being restricted by using a good furnace filter) He recommended that I use a cheaper furnace filter so I could get more airflow from the AC. I said okay, I went a bought a cheaper filter and my husband said no way that would create more dust and dirt in the house. I then talked to another professional that recommended Roy Rogers come back and turn the AC blower motor to high for more airflow. I called Roy Rogers, he said he would come back the following day, however it was a no show. I then called him again a week later and he said he would come back the following week, again it was a no show. Also a note on the cleaning, all he did was spray the outside unit with a hose. He failed to clean the inside furnace that the air flows through (which was creating more dust and dirt inside the house because it was dirty) I had someone to clean it after the fact. It has been over a month and I haven't heard a word from him, but he did cash my check within a day of getting paid.

They are on the job, do it quickly and for a reasonable price.

Roy is wonderful - - I mean truly a find.   He knew I had been without A/C for days and squeezed me in to make sure me and my family would be cool for the weekend.   I called other HVAC companies and all turned me away saying they were too busy or they wouldn't be able to see me for several days.   While Roy was working on my A/C his phone rang non-stop with others (like me) in desperate need for help.  Even though he told me he planned on taking the weekend off, he later said he had so many people that needed help that he was going to work Saturday (and late Friday) with the hopes of having Sunday off.   Not only is he very helpful but very knowledgeable about his trade.    He stands behind his work, doesn't take advantage of people when they are in need, etc.  Actually since he found the leak so quickly he lowered his quoted price - he didn't have to do that but he is just that honest.    He will be my 'go to guy' for my HVAC needs.   I also told my family about him and told them they need to use them for repairs and tune-ups on their homes.

I invited three companies to our home to inspect current units and provide estimates on Heating and air conditioning systems. It did not take long to figure out two of the companies came with the intention to sale. However the third company Roy Rogers came and Roy took the time to do a thorough inspection of both units, He showed us a crack in the furnace which the other companies failed to mention and showed us where air was escaping. Again, the other companies never mentioned this. After the inspection my husband and I sat down with Roy who presented not just with options but with affordable options.  

We made the decision to replace both furnace and air conditioner. Roy explained in great detail about the new equipment and what would be replaced and flushed, Taking of measurements and the time line for arrival and completion of install and removal of old equipment. He was informative and patient as we had many questions.

We decided to contract with Roy and could not be happier with our decision.

The company is a glowing example of quality and good service.

They arrived as promised at 9.00 am.  Dressed in company uniform and driving company trucks with logo.  They were courteous, informative and worked meticulously. Roy, Brad and Mike showed great respect and care for our property not just inside but outside as well.

 (At one point due to the rain one of the crew had tracked a little bit mud from around the A/C unit onto our sidewalk Roy was concerned about this and insisted they put down more cardboard. My husband and I never gave it a second thought after all it had been raining and more was expected. But that just goes to show how they go that extra mile. )

 Throughout the day the crew even took a few minutes of their time to acknowledge my 12 year old yellow lab.  With that being said, they made certain to close doors behind them so he would not escape.

Once install was completed they tested units to insure they functioned properly and to expectation. They instructed my husband on how to use our new thermostat, and cleaned all areas where they had been working.  My husband and I enjoyed the extra time they took with us after installation was completed to answer any questions we might have.

I am more than happy not just as a customer but as a small business owner to refer this company to anyone who is looking to hire a heating & air company.
