"I hired Phillips Waterproofing and Concrete for a sump pump and moisture panel installation, and it was a complete nightmare. The work was sloppy and unprofessional: the corners of the moisture panels were left curved, concrete wasn?t poured to the walls, and the sump pump pipe was installed in front of my kitchen cabinets with only a thin, choppy, unfinished pour. I paid over $2,000 for them to stain the concrete, but they never completed the job despite multiple scheduled appointments. They now ignore calls and messages entirely, and both the owner, Kevin Phillips, and son Dylan, have full voicemail boxes. To make matters worse, the original problem?backflow in my half bath?was not resolved, and my home flooded again just weeks after their installation. Because of their negligence, I?ve been forced to spend additional money pursuing legal action to get my money returned. They took $11,000 from me, left my home in an unusable state, and provided zero accountability."

"Crew was right on time and ready to go prior to concrete delivery truck arriving. The previous night's rain had caused the sonotubes (pier forms) to collapse. The contractor's crew helped me with quickly shoring them back up prior to the concrete truck's arrival. Their help enable us to recover in time to begin pouring as soon as the truck arrived. EC&T made certain the forms were restored to level during the pour and vibrated the mix to ensure it was well settled to keep from honeycombing. Though the job was not a huge project, EC&T continued to finish the concrete without being contractually required. End result was a beautiful smooth finish with radiused edges (as I asked for). Job was well done. Thank you EC&T."

Use a dehumidifier for indoor concrete and a wet vacuum for outdoor surfaces. Sprinkle absorbent materials like sawdust or cat litter to soak up the remaining moisture. If you don’t put gravel under concrete, the concrete can crack, sink, bow, or crumble. Even the concrete forming process will not go as smoothly if you are working directly on the soil or bare bedrock. The lack of a proper gravel layer can also lead to drainage issues below your slab, leading to water issues throughout your lawn and around your foundation.
