Gary was very prompt in both scheduling an estimate as well as a date to paint my apartment. His painter, Steve, did a remarkable job in painting my place! All of the edging was perfect and the former color was completely covered. Gary and Steve were extremely friendly and professional and my place was beautiful upon my return. I have worked with many painters and must say that Fresh Colors Painting is by far the best contractor I have ever used in Louisville! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best :)

Fresh Colors employee to strip wallpaper in master bath was here most of the day using a steamer to remove wallpaper; pieces at a time. The residual wallpaper paste remained on the wall. I guess I was wrong in thinking that we were ready to paint once the wallpaper came off. Still a big job ahead for a painter. Overall, work went fine.

"Thank you for the Good review. Some customers buy the 4 hour wallpaper promo and stop us at four hours whether we are finished or not. In most cases it takes another hour or two to finish the job depending on how difficult the wallpaper is to take off. As I remember, she stopped us at 4 hours and said her painter could do the rest. So we stopped and cleaned up. The majority of our customers want us to finish prepping the walls to paint and then paint for them as well. That's when they get a finished product."

The job was much bigger than the initial Angie's List offering. It took a very long time but Steve the painter stayed with it and did a terrific job. I also had him paint. It looks wonderful. I am very pleased.

This is the third time we have hired back Gary and his team to paint in our home. They have now almost painted our entire house for us in the past 3 jobs. This time, they painted our walk out basement main living area space. Again, we could not be more pleased with the work. Gary is prompt with his communication and he is personally very involved throughout the entire painting process. Gary and his team are very professional, trustworthy & particular in their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone - you will most likely not find a better painting service in this area!

Gary arrived, educated me to paint quality, colors and literally everything I needed to know about the variation of paints. The future day arrived for the paint crew. They were on time. The senior man 'Steve' asked me questions as to any minor repairs and explained to me everything the two of them were going to do to include minor drywall repairs. They placed booties on their shoes when they came into my house and all the cloths and protection needed to ensure no paint would be spilled on my tiled floors. They painted almost the entire basement to include baseboards. When they were finished, they cleaned up any debris and sealed the two remaining paint cans. Steve gave me instructions as to the drying time and the importance of the numbers on the paint cans for future paint job touch-ups (if needed).
Summary: The entire basement is beautifully color coordinated and looks nicer now than when I moved here in 2010. Superior painting business deserving of a triple A rating. Thank you Gary and God bless :))

The painter did a very neat job but in my mind was extremely slow costing me extra dollars for work that I thought would have been covered in the allotted time.
Where I thought the wood should have had two coats, I had to ask for it to be done.
Perhaps I expected too much since we often did our own work.

Unless she had bought a promotion through the angies list site. All of our work is based on a proposal that a customer receives before we do any work. So the price they get on the proposal is a solid price unless they add something to the project."
