"We had a leaning retaining wall by our walkout basement. We were very concerned that it might fall over and was no longer stable. I called Indiana Foundation Service and got a representative out the next week. He went over the issue and the solution thoroughly with me. We signed the contract and a month later we had some awesome workers come out to our house. Charles, Brandon, and Kyle worked 2 days to dig, brace, and make sure our wall was level/plum. I cannot recommend this company and this crew enough! We were completely satisfied with the outcome and the whole process. If you have any foundation or structural issues, do yourself a favor and call Indiana Foundation Service."

"I just had my 3rd adjustment for my crawlspace supports that were installed in 2022. Everett was here for the second time and was friendly and thorough as everyone has been. The follow up for this project has been consistent all the way from the one who answers the phone to the technician who crawls under my house. Highly recommend this group."

"I was selling a house and another company came out and tried to do the high pressure sale on stuff that was not needed and tried to use the fear tactic. We got other opinions and decided to go with Advanced Restoration. They were honest in the work that was needed, did not try to "sell" but just gave us their opinion and what was required. They came and did the work when they said and communicated well. The most impressive for me is that I honestly could not tell if they had been there when I walked in the house. I figured they would leave a total mess but they cleaned up so well I was amazed. I would highly recommend and as an investor I am sure I will run into houses that need work again and will use them."

"Complete tuck-pointing of our 3 storey house. Considerate, thoughtful and talented crew restored our brickwork "clean and tight". Totally revitalized our 100 year old home. Will be ready for the next 100 years. Highest recommendation."

"The result was GREAT! There were some understandable delays, but the result was worth the wait. The owner Mark Spencer personally came out and installed new Windows. He and his coworker Bill finished the job above and beyond expectations. Mark definitely did NOT overstate how it would look. It made my house look 40 years younger!"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before starting the project.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.
