"The sales rep took several water testsâ ¦ The sales rep took several water tests and showed me the results. She told me that I needed more than just a water softener. I also needed a system to address the rust and iron in my well water. I did not want to spend a fortune but the sales lady was pretty convincing. The price was good and the workmanship was excellent. My water is clean again ! Now I can tackle the original problem. My toilet has bad rust stains. I will either get it clean, or replace it. I could not do this until the water was fixed."

"I hired Tristate Complete Home Repair and Maintenance to fix a bad tile job in our new shower. They came out and worked diligently to fix the sharp tile replacement and drain issue. Jeff was professional, helpful, and answered our questions. I appreciate this company and will use them in the future for other home repairs and maintenance issues."

"I purchased the "2-hour labor" offer from them before. They did such a great job that I purchased another one for this job. Before I purchased it I contacted them via e-mail to make sure this was something that they could do. I was told that it was and that 2 hours was about the right amount of time for the job. Nick showed up right on time and got started right away. I had an existing water softener that I wanted to install. I live in an older house (built in 1911) so there was no water softener hook-up available as they now build into newer homes. I had an idea on how to install it and shared it with Nick. He used his experience and improved my idea which also cut down on time and materials. True to their word, he was done in a little under two hours. The set-up looks very clean and professional. I did not have a chance to start up the softener before he left; he offered to come back if I had any issues. There were two options for routing the drain line so we decided to take the easier option. However, he said that if this option did not work out once I ran the softener for a while he would come back and re-route the line using the other option. I paid $160 for the 2 hours of labor and I will have some additional costs for the materials he used to connect the softener. I was thoroughly impressed with his work and I would not hesitate to hire him again. Thanks!"

"Of course I won't know for sure if the system passes until the inspector comes out, but the guys seemed to do a great job.  One poor fellow had the lucky task of climbing 20 feet down to the bottom through a 1.5' square hole, after it was pumped out, to scrape the walls and clean out the drainage holes.  They seem confident that the system will work fine going forward.  They were more professional and friendly than I was expecting given the task at hand.  Assuming I pass my inspection I could not be more pleased.  I think the thing I appreciated the most was their fast response time and I thought the price was reasonable considering they had to also pump 3.5 truck loads of septic water from the system."

"I love my Culligan Twin Water Softener and AC-30 Reverse Osmosis. We have the best water available, soft water for laundry and bathing and great tasting Reverse Osmosis for drinking and cooking. The people at Culligan are wonderful. I would recommend this company to everyone. Quality products, fair price, and friendly service. I give Culligan an A+"

Well Pump - Repair or Service

"Let me first say that if I could, I would adopt the owner.  He went so far above and beyond what he had to do, or needed to do to get our business, that I will be eternally grateful.  If there was a rating above "A", he certainly deserves it.  We were locked into a contract with another basement company to the tune of $21,000. He made us realize that they scared us into buying a submarine when all we needed was a rowboat.  He took it upon himself to guide us in getting out of the contract without any guarantee that we would eventually go with his company.

He said that that it just made him angry that another company was trying to take advantage of us.
After getting out of the 'oversold" contract, CJ sat down with us and told us what we needed to do to fix the problem, and the best way to do it.  He oversaw all the work and they were finished in two days.  The workers that he had with him were so nice and professional, and worked extremely hard to get the job done, considering  it was 90 degrees or above most of the time they were working.

The price that he charged was 1/10 of the other company, and he also gave us a lifetime guarantee that the problem wouldn't come back. For two retired people, this gave us a great feeling, and we knew we had made the right decision. If you need any basement work done, or if there is a water problem anywhere in your house, I couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend this company.  At least give him a shot to see if he can help you half as much as he helped us."

"Excellent. This experience was the best I have had hiring outside help. After it was installed, I had some concerns and asked Aaron to come by. He came over on a Friday evening and to my surprise, agreed and quickly went above and beyond to remedy the situation. He was understanding and agreed with my concerns. Later I was worried about a sound I was hearing coming from the sump pump. He came up on a Sunday and turned out it was my old pump (not the new one they had installed) that was making the noise. He removed it and clearly explained why it was making the noise. The perimeter drain, pump, and dry well that they installed have all worked great since the installation, which was nearly 9 months ago now. It was very clear making sure a job was completed well and with integrity was important to him. It was comforting to know I was working with a company who valued customer service and doing a job well. Their prices were more reasonable than the 3 other companies I had estimates from. I would definitely use them if needed in the future."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Hard water doesn’t hurt, but it might feel more abrasive, especially if you have sensitive skin. It’s also about how your skin feels after bathing. You might feel as though you have a sticky film over your body because you do—it’s all that soapy residue left behind because the hard water can’t rinse it off completely.

Yes, a water softener can remove scale deposits. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, after you add a water softener to your home, “gradually the softer water will dissolve limescale scale deposits and remove the problem entirely.” Installing a water softener—or water descaler—will also help prevent new scale deposits from forming.

It’s unlikely that hard water on its own could cause substantial hair loss or damage, though it’s true that bathing in hard water can cause your scalp to feel itchy or flaky and might dull your hair’s natural shine. Using high-quality shampoo and conditioner or buying a whole-home water softener can decrease these issues.

A single shower consumes an average of over 17 gallons, while brushing your teeth with the water running uses up to four unnecessary gallons. Watering the lawn spreads hundreds of gallons of water across the yard each time. Limiting water usage in these areas can significantly cut down your water bill.

Routine maintenance involves recharging the resin bed with salt or potassium, cleaning components, and periodic inspection.
