"Ralph and Joseph install a 39.4 diameter crystal chandelier 55 pounds on a 13 foot ceiling. Also install dimmer and light switch. Work very meticulously and with a sense of humor to complete the job. Change out the ground wire to ensure safety. Definitely would hire again."

"I hired Rich to install some recessed lights in my kitchen. He came across cocky and condescending, but I hoped it was warranted based on his ability. I was wrong. He thought installing two lights essentially on top of each other was a good idea. Not only was this unnecessary, but the placement dictated the placement of the remainder of the lights. As a result, all of the other lights were placed haphazardly. The switching configuration doesn't make sense, lights in one group are turned on with lights of another group, making the whole project come across very poorly thought out. Additionally, Rich does not bring spare parts on his projects and didn't offer to go pick up a dimmer switch that I wanted to add to try to undue some of the damages resulted from the poor placement. Therefore, after mocking me for being unable to install the switch on my own, he sent me to Menard's to pick up a switch for him to install. Overall, I wish I went with someone else. Obviously. Rich also does not leave with extra parts. Originally, I wanted 10 lights, but half way through the project, I realized 8 would suffice. However, Rich advised that he'd be charging me for all 10 anyway, so I might as well stick with 10 lights. So now I am stuck with 10 lights."

"On November 15th Chicago was hit with some extreme wind gusts that caused my water heater pilot light to extinguish. I thought this was a simple reset, but the problem was more complicated. I learned the electrode was defective. Had I undertaken this project as a DIY, I would have spent more time than I would have cared to try to figure out why I could not get a flame for my water heater. I was smart to call Four Seasons. My technician figured out the problem quickly. There are times when calling a professional makes sense. I am not an expert on water heaters outside of knowing how to turn it on, clean it periodically, and knowing when I need a new one. Thank you Four Seasons for responding quickly and bringing me hot water."

"The two electricians showed up on time and were very professional. They ended up installing a 100A circuit and the job was neat and well done. They cleaned everything up after themselves. I am very happy with the result."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.

Costs depend on fixture type, wiring complexity, and labor rates.

It’s possible to remove a new construction recessed light without getting into your attic, though it’s a bigger job. You’ll need to identify the joist locations using a stud finder, then cut a square hole in the drywall of your ceiling to remove the fasteners holding the fixture. After removing the light, you’ll have to patch and paint the ceiling again.

You can install a ceiling light fixture using a similar process to the one described in this guide. Ceiling lights can have added difficulty because of their location. Working on a ladder with your head tipped back and your arms in the air isn't ideal, but with big projects come big rewards.
