In January 2023, Steve Durkiewicz stepped into a project that had previously become a financial nightmare and turned it into the dream project that we had first imagined. We had previously hired and paid ($1,765.00) a different person/business that claimed to be a licensed and experienced electrician, to install new lighting in our kitchen and home office, as well as install recessed lighting in our family room. But the job was a disaster, unprofessional and substandard - e.g. all electrical wiring was incorrect, ceiling drywall wire routing in relation to studs/framing was incorrect (i.e. ceiling drywall could not be repaired due to lack of space), etc. Steve came in and repaired all of that. With patience and professionalism, he explained every step as he made corrections, and still completed the task in a timely manner! Thank you, EMF Electric! You'll definitely hear from me again!

Excellent! We are very pleased with the completed job. Steve scheduled the initial trip to our home to do the work we needed. However, after examining our project, he pointed out that the old fans had not been installed to code and more extensive work would have to be done. He provided an estimate for the work, gave a clear picture of the potential issues with the project and was able to complete it on another date. He was clear in his descriptions of the problem, the solutions, potential complications and gave his best recommendations. He was respectful, courteous, timely and very workmanlike and professional. He was compliant in regards to wearing PPE during this pandemic. His pricing was fair (I always get 3 estimates). Steve will be the first one we will call for any future electrical work.

Steve is a pleasure to work with. EMF has done a few projects for us now over the years and they always perform high-quality work for a very reasonable price. They are also responsive to calls and text messages. Steve installed 3 specially ordered exterior lights for us. He accomplished the work in one afternoon and had to deal with some "fitting" issues with our existing mounting brackets. The new lights look great, and we really appreciate the fine work. I would definitely hire EMF anytime for electrical work of all types.

Great experience! I contacted EMF via Angie's List because of their excellent reviews. The original purpose was to install 2 ceiling fans and at a later date convert 4 existing recessed lights to LED. We have a large finished basement but it had terrible dim lighting. I thought ceiling fans with lights would be an efficient and inexpensive way to add more light to the area. The owner, Steve Durkiewicz, originally gave me a very fair online quote for the fan installation based on the fact that I told him the correct electrical already existed where they were to be put up. Steve arrived and I found out the areas did not have correct ceiling fan boxes and it would necessitate installing them plus re-drywalling and painting after. Steve said if that was what I wanted, he would be happy to do it, but also suggested that if the only reason I wanted fans was for the lighting, that I might want to consider 2 lighting fixtures instead. And then gave me a great resource in my area to view options. I agreed and we re-scheduled at no cost for his having come over. I found 2 fantastic 4-bulb LED fixtures that Steve installed at our next appointment along with 4 conversion recessed light kits I decided to have him purchase and do at the same time. Everything went extremely well and was very reasonably priced. And, at last, I have light in my basement office!

Steve is great to work with! He was quick to answer my questions and to schedule services. He worked around my schedule and was able to fit me in on short notice. I asked about providing a quote but he explained in detail why he needed to see what he was working with. I understood because my home was built in the 80s and the previous owners did their own work. He arrived ontime and was very friendly. Steve kept me informed during the work and kept me aware of issues/concerned he had. Overall, I was pleased with the work he performed and he did a great job. I would recommend EMF Electric to anyone. I would hire again myself. Pricing was fair and reasonable.

Steve was very prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He did a great job installing our new light and dimmer, and diagnosed a situation in which a light was controlled by two circuit breakers. We plan to use him for any of our electrical needs.
