"F and A did a fantastic job cleaning our windows and doors! The communication was great, they arrived on time and cleaned every glass surface, sills, and screens until they looked almost new. It was wonderful to walk into the house and see the sun and plants through sparkling clean windows. We will hire F and A to clean our windows every spring!"

"I hired prime time to clean my outside windows and screens. I cannot say enough about Joaquin - who was on time and did the most phenomenal job. I am so impressed with his desire to make sure we were happy with his job - which we were! He did extra stuff for us too, like fixing some windows and providing advice for questions I had regarding our window etc. I would highly recommend prime time windows and if you can get Joaquin - then you are very lucky and will be very happy with the job that he does. Joaquin is one of the best handymen in the area. Prime time is lucky to have him! I am so happy we chose Prime Time window cleaning."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Professionals use high-pressure steam cleaners, brushes, and specialized cleaning solutions for effective results.

Well water can leave ugly marks on your window. A vinegar-water spray will remove most well water stains from your windows. However, you can also use a baking soda paste if the stain is too stubborn. Consider applying waterproofing protection to the glass surface after cleaning for long-term protection. A protective film or spray layer also makes it easier to remove the water stains next time.

Professional window cleaners typically use either a white vinegar solution or a commercial hard water stain remover to clean hard water stains on windows. A common vinegar solution for this purpose consists of one cup of white vinegar mixed with a gallon of distilled or bottled water. The pro will spray the mixture and lightly scrub the window with a scrubby pad before cleaning with a standard cleaning solution. Alternatively, they may use a commercially available hard water stain remover and a scrubby pad, followed by a complete cleaning.

Yes, but professionals use specialized equipment and cleaning solutions to safely achieve streak-free, long-lasting results.

A handy hair dryer will quickly remove condensation from your window, but it’s only a temporary fix. The hair dryer maneuver will not repair the root of the window fogging problem, which is likely a broken window seal. If you need to defog the window quickly, such as if guests are coming over, use the hair dryer. However, for a permanent solution, defogging the window or replacing it are the only options.
