"Bluestone came out to remove an asbestos wrapping on a pipe. They arrived on time, were very cordial and professional, and finished within the specified time frame. They cleaned everything up afterwards and did a great job. They also refered me to an air testing specialist and took care of all the permit work for me. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of work to be done."

"The work was completed in a timely manner. They did leave behind some tape on the vents that I had to remove. Otherwise, the removal of our asbestos containing material was done professionally on time and with good value."

"While removing the old roof, the aluminum coverings on our mansard roof dormers were damaged. The roofing crew attempted to repair the damage but the result was not satisfactory. As compensation they deducted a small amount from the total bill."

"I noticed that I had hail damage and gave Laz Call Construction Inc a call. Laz Call did everything for me. From calling my insurance company to make the initial claim, writing up a quote for work to be done, and hiring the roofing company ( btw the most amazing roofing company- so professional, top quality materials, conscientious of my landscaping). Laz Call even working with the insurance company to make sure that every aspect of the job was covered and paid for. There are so many little details that need to be covered that I had no idea about, Laz Call made sure that the insurance company covered and paid for every last detail. Besides making the initial call to Laz Call Construction Inc, I did not have to worry about or do anything to complete my claim. New roof was installed within a month. "My husband and I hired Chicago Asbestos & Mold Removal Professionals for asbestos that was found in our attic. Rogelio was my main point of contact and he was on top of things from start to finish. He described the entire process and seemed reasonably priced in comparison to other places. They were even able to complete the 2 day project in 1 day! I HIGHLY recommend hiring them for your project needs in relation to asbestos and mold. 😁"

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

Some pros may recommend covering a popcorn ceiling that tests positive for asbestos with beadboard ceiling planks or drywall. The cost to install a beadboard ceiling averages more than $5,000, but you likely will pay more than the average for the installer to deal with the asbestos safely. Installing a beadboard ceiling or new drywall will disturb the asbestos and release some microscopic fibers, so the installer will need to take precautions.

In the event of suspected or confirmed asbestos contamination on the body, it is imperative to take immediate measures to reduce health risks. To avoid further exposure, carefully remove contaminated clothing and shower thoroughly to remove any asbestos fibers. Seek prompt medical attention, and inform your healthcare professional about your suspected asbestos exposure. Since asbestos-related health issues can take years to surface, regular medical check-ups are advised for anyone with a history of exposure.

When asbestos fibers become airborne, they enter a person's respiratory system. These fibers scar and damage the lungs and often lead to serious cancers like mesothelioma. Like many dangers in the house, asbestos isn’t easy to see when it could be causing serious damage. The amount of time exposed, combined with the person’s tolerance for asbestos inhalation and the amount inhaled, will all contribute to health problems.

If the tiles are undamaged and in good condition, painting can be a safe method of encapsulating them, but it is important first to evaluate the state of the tiles before proceeding. If the tiles are deteriorating, damaged, or already loose, simply painting over them fails to address the underlying issues that can cause asbestos exposure. It is recommended to consult asbestos abatement experts in such situations to identify the best way to safely manage or remove the asbestos-containing materials. During the painting process, it is crucial to adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to reduce the potential health risks associated with asbestos exposure.

Ensures comprehensive removal and adherence to safety regulations, protecting health.
