"The work performed was the installation of a stainless steel flu liner to exhaust the combustion gasses from my gas hot water heater. German and Alex overcame all of the problems they encountered while installing the new flu liner. They were very accommodating and handled all of my questions and requests. They wore shoe booties when in my home. They left the work area as clean as the area was when they started the job. From the top of the chimney to the hot water heater connection I am very satisfied with the work they did on the installation of the new flu liner. Great professional team."

When Jon and Ron looked at the project to provide a quote they observed additional items with bricks at the top of the chimney and cracked bricks in the fire box not communicated to me by another contractor. "Anthony was spectacular. We had Top Hat out to inspect our three gas fireplaces and our chimneys. After removing the vermiculite and spent ash from the bottom of the fireplaces to clean and inspect, Anthony identified that prior to our purchase of the house the fireplaces had been improperly converted from wood to gas. One fireplace did not have a fire box, one fire box had been improperly installed and the third was made from gerry rigged materials that were not fit for purpose. One of the the black pipe connections was made without pipe dope/sealant. One fireplace had a crimped supply line. One fireplace had a 12" bar for a 24" fireplace which was intended to be a starter for a wood fire, not to be used to run a continous gas fireplace. All three posed CO2 hazards. Anthony photographed everything for us, fully explained the issues and remedied all. He was polite, thorough and efficient and fairly priced. Highly recommend Anthony and Top Hat!"
