"We were so happy with our experience with Randy from Paragon Services, we have had him out 2 times in the last month to address both the attic and the crawl space of our new home. After Randy and his team replaced our fiberglass insulation in the crawl space with spray foam, it raised the average air temperature on our first floor by over 15 degrees! I has made a HUGE difference right away and I can’t wait to see the $$ we save on our heating/air conditioning. Paragon Services is fast to respond to messages and phone calls. Randy was able to come out for a quote within a few days we were on the schedule within a week or two. On installation day, the crew was on time and professional. I was blown away by Randy’s knowledge and honesty. I never felt rushed during our conversations or pushed to commit to a purchase. He took his time to investigate the issues, develop an appropriate plan of action, and prepare a thorough quote. He went over everything with me to make sure I understood what he was proposing and why. I learned so much just in our few conversations. I also loved that he not only addressed the issue I called him out for, but made sure any related issues were addressed as well. "It went really well. Robert Carroll really knows his stuff. Hire this guy. I say that without reservation of any kind. Don't look any further, believe me, I did. This is the smartest guy. He is honest, dependable, offers fair pricing, and his team can do all the work. I got several estimates from A+ rated insulation companies, but Robert was more knowledgeable than the other companies. He was the only one to point out that my soffits were not vented. Apparently, my house was built on the day no one was inspecting. The builder never cut open the soffits. That meant there was zero airflow going through my attic. The attic fan could run all day, but without air to move, it would not do any good. Only Robert noticed this and offered a solution to fix the problem! I asked some of the other A+ companies if they would vent the soffits and they all said they don't do that work, but they would be happy to add more insulation, which would not fix the problem if the attic was not vented."

"It went fairly well. The man in charge of giving estimates gave me confidence. The man in charge of the work was a bit of a fast talker, however. I have waited over a year to finish this review b/c I wanted to wait until I got door into the porch from the house and for cold weather to see how well the insulation works. I do not have a heat vent on the porch. Was hoping the insulation along with a small electric heater would keep it warm. The contractor thought it would be okay without a heating vent. For most part it is, but with very cold weather, the porch gets pretty cold. I may have been hoping for more than was realistic and may eventually get a larger electric heater or get a vent from my furnace if I decide to use the room more regularly."

"Literally a truckload of dirt and old insulation was removed from a crawlspace under a town house. Openings in the foundation were sealed or covered, the floor was swept clean and the crawlspace walls sprayed with insulating foam. 2-day job in tough conditions and with limited city parking, professionally and efficiently executed, indeed resulting in a perfect crawlspace. "After a bad storm in 2017 we had contractors all over our subdivision looking for work. As a rule if you knock on my door I won't use you. We had 6 door knockers and contacted 5 others. We actually started working with two different contractors first. One didn't have the proper insurance and one came in very expensive. They did get the insurance process started but were not what we wanted. I contacted 3 more contractors. One of them was Professional Home Improvement. Mel came over reviewed what the insurance company had approved and realized that they had missed several items that needed to be included but was left out. He also came up with an estimate right away. It was a good estimate and included several items that the other companies had not so we went with his company. He contacted the insurance company and got the additional items approved. He also had his insurance company send his proof of insurance directly to us instead of just giving us a copy. We had to wait a few weeks for them to start the roof which was fine since it had been almost a year since we started looking for a contractor. I also felt that good contractors are busy so there would be a wait. The old roof was torn off and the new on was installed with ice and water shield in one day. The crew did a great job and even went around the house with a big magnet to pick up any nails that were in the grass or on the deck. A few weeks later they started on the siding and window trim. after removing the siding they installed 3/8's of an inch of insulation and wrapped the house in Tyvek. When installing the siding there were a few issues that came up but since I was there while they were doing the install we were able to solve them right away and continue on. They even pointed out that on the gutters, which had been installed 17 years ago, The nails were starting to pull out of the brackets. So while they were installing the siding I was fixing the loose gutters. The finished product looks great. I've even had neighbors stop by just to tell us that how nice the house and the siding look. I am very happy with the job that was done."

The process went well.  There were some hiccups in the beginning (the insulation truck wasn't working properly after routine maintenance), but it was fixed within a couple of days and the project was wrapped up.  Chuck, the owner of the company, was in constant contact to update us on timing and to make sure that the work was re-scheduled at a convenient time for us.  Further, he was on site when the work was performed.  Not often do you see an owner of a company being this involved.  The guys that did the work were professional and I really appreciated that they were considerate of our home by putting on booties and making sure to clean up after themselves.  I would highly recommend working with this company. If you have a crawl space, this is a must do!
