"I recently moved into a house with almost no insulation in the attic. I called Randy to come out and give me an estimate based on blowing 16" of cellulose to an R64. I also needed attic baffles installed and to air seal my attic. Randy's quote was very competitive and he knew his stuff. Randy and Mike came out on the scheduled date right on time. They did a great job completing the job. Randy had initially estimated 75 bags of cellulose for my attic but due to the lack of insulation they ended up going through some extra bags of insulation but did not charge me for them. Apparently, my house was built on the day no one was inspecting. The builder never cut open the soffits. That meant there was zero airflow going through my attic. "We reached out to Dan with the issue of freezing pipes and cold rooms in our old house. Dan inspected the house and proposed a plan to remedy these issues. Aside from the more traditional air sealing and insulation solutions, Dan also recommended insulating the area of our house above our soffit, which was difficult to access but that appeared to be a major insulation issue. I should add the other firms we requested quotes for did not identify this area in their proposal. I firmly believe the proposals from the other firms would not have fixed our issues. Dan worked for ~2 weeks on air sealing our attic and house, adding insulation to our attic, removing our soffit and adding insulation and reinstalling soffit.
