"Mirna scheduled our work to fit into this busy season and was responsive to our schedule. When she was able to move our date up, she called and then kept us informed as to when the workers would arrive. Ralph and Arturro were prompt and professional (and personable) and did a great job of cleaning our fireplace insert and our Jotul wood stove.They did quality work and were conscious to minimize the impact of their work on our house. "Anthony was spectacular. We had Top Hat out to inspect our three gas fireplaces and our chimneys. After removing the vermiculite and spent ash from the bottom of the fireplaces to clean and inspect, Anthony identified that prior to our purchase of the house the fireplaces had been improperly converted from wood to gas. One fireplace did not have a fire box, one fire box had been improperly installed and the third was made from gerry rigged materials that were not fit for purpose. One of the the black pipe connections was made without pipe dope/sealant. One fireplace had a crimped supply line. One fireplace had a 12" bar for a 24" fireplace which was intended to be a starter for a wood fire, not to be used to run a continous gas fireplace. All three posed CO2 hazards. Anthony photographed everything for us, fully explained the issues and remedied all. He was polite, thorough and efficient and fairly priced. Highly recommend Anthony and Top Hat!"
