"When temperatures dropped to -50 with wind chill, the pipes to our basement bathroom sink froze. And as soon as everything began to thaw, (on Friday night) we found that we had a ruptured hot water pipe. Water was shooting out of the wall all over the bathroom. When it became clear that our usual plumber wasn't going to show up on Saturday, I frantically called half-a-dozen plumbers from Angie's List. Only Charlie got back to me and agreed to show up after his next job. On a day that he was clearly being overwhelmed with calls from all over the city, Charlie kept his word and showed up with his partner Dimitri. They quickly figured out there were no other leaks and repaired the pipe. On top of it, Charlie spotted two other unrelated plumbing issues in our HVAC room. They were minor now but could have turned into bigger problems down the road. His thoroughness and attention to detail allowed him to spot these hidden problems and save us headaches down the road. We had our water working in under an hour (on a Saturday evening!) and he charged a very fair price given the demands upon his time. He left our house at 5pm, his phone blowing up from other customers. I asked if he was going to have an end to the day soon, but he said he still had hours to go...he had promised other worried homeowners that he would help them today. "Pablo and his son were very professional and respectful of my property and adhered to the covid-19cdc guidelines. My bathtub was totally clogged and my toilet tank was leaking. Pablo rodded the pipe from the bathtub drum to the basement; he had a heck of a time removing the drum cap as it was several inches below the floor. But he did it and he also replaced the cap!! He also replaced the toilet fill valve and the water shutoff valve. The tub was still draining slowly, so he tried clearing it with chemicals I had. The tub continues to drain slowly, but I still give Pablo very high marks for the work he did."

"I just bought a house in Glenview. I was looking for a company that could install a drainage solution to one side of my house. The grade runs towards the north side of the house causing excess water runoff and potential seepage into the basement. I did my research and found ULB-DRY Waterproofing. I have to say that the entire process was absolutely flawless. Their estimator came out to assess the situation and provide solutions. They had to come out a second time to perform a site survey to make sure their solution would work properly (making sure there was enough pitch from the front of the property to the back to drain the water). Once everything was assessed we scheduled a day for their crew to come out to perform the work (installing a french drain to move excess water build up away from the side of the house). They also connected one of my gutter downspouts to the pipe to drain that water away also. The crew was very professional, hard working, and technically sound. Not many companies have all these attributes. They really knew what they were doing. This company is awesome."

"We had a large graduation party happening on a Sat & realized a bad smell was coming out of the sewer drain of ground floor on Tues. The first estimate told me we needed to dig up the pipe (which was under 1.5ft concrete AND a finished tile floor w/ embedded radiant heat pipes) because there was definitely a hole or a backflow there causing poop sewage to sit in the p-trap and it was an emergency health hazard. The estimate was $4500-7000. I spoke to Trinidad who had called me second and told him what they were advising and he said “why don’t you try just flushing the line yourself with a garden hose and some Clorox or pineal and see what happens, because if there was a hole in the p-bend there would be no water there” plus the smell would have been godawful. So I did that and the smell receded a huge amount. I thought I still smelled it that evening & he estimated a pro flush right away, was responsive fast via text, and I appreciated his honesty greatly."
