"This was my first experience with J&S Plumbing, and I was very pleased. The outside discharge pipe from my basement sump pump had developed a leak and was flooding my yard. Despite the fact that the ground was saturated, they were able to dig down, find the leak, repair it, and then did a great job putting back all the mud and grass so that it is level. I will definitely call them the next time I need a plumber."

"The guys did a great job replacing my garbage disposal and re-piping under my kitchen sink that had been incorrectly installed by a previous owner and brining everything up to code. They also replaced a leaky faucet in my bathroom. The price quote I received from them was about half the cost from another company that I was connected to through Angi’s list so overall I am very happy. They were fast, professional, courteous, explained everything, and cleaned up everything after the job was done. I highly recommend Mario & Sons for any work that you need completed. They even had a job at my neighbors house immediately after they completed my work and I know they were happy with the work performed as well."

"We had a strange occurrence happen, water coming out of a smoke detector, we initially thought this was a plumbing issue. We called Lifeline Plumbing, they quickly responded, had a plumber (Anthony) out to our house within an hour. After running all the water in the house, he determined this was not plumbing related. This was a huge relief. It turns out this was related to condensation built up in the attic. While he was here, we started talking about possibly having a water softener installed. He explained the benefits of having one, especially if you have hard water, (we do). He wrote up two different proposals. One for the basic water softener, one for the better of the two, this one removes all the chemicals from the water, basically having filtered water throughout your whole house. If you have a water dispenser on your refrigerator, no need to buy those filters anymore. We decided on the better of the two, the price difference was not much more. We also asked if he could replace a showerhead in our bathroom and flappers in two of our toilets. We set a date for the following Friday. Anthony did a great job, he was on time, he had to make modifications to our pipes, so the water softener could be installed in our furnace/water heater room. He took his time, he was here all day, we knew this ahead of time, because of the necessary modifications to pipes. worked the whole time, he didn't even take a lunch break. He changed out the showerhead and flappers. We are so pleased with all of his work. Very nice, professional. He cleaned his mess afterwards. He showed us how to fill the salt, how often. Before he left we discussed having new sump pumps put in at a later date, we will definitely call Lifeline Plumbing, when we are ready to do this. It's only been 4 days we already notice a big difference in the quality of our water. Very pleased. Thank you Lifeline, Anthony is a great asset to your team."

"Stoyian was amazing! He came out and gave me the most reasonable estimate I had after 3 other waterproofing companies came out. His crew was on time and ready to go. He had two crews: one to fix the seepage in the crawl space and one to install the new sump-pump and back up pump. Stoyian (the owner) gave us an upgraded back up pump because it was on sale and didn't up-charge us. The crew that came out to install the sump-pump accidentally severed my cable line. Stoyian came out to fix that as well! The pump was working perfectly until 2 weeks ago. When I called Stoyian, he came out himself, that day, to inspect what was wrong. He decided to replace the entire pump after he diagnosed that a stone accidentally got into the drainage. On a SUNDAY, he came out, installed the new pump and raised it so that this problem wouldn't happen again. There was no charge. As soon as I called to schedule him , whether for an estimate, work done, or repair, I received a call back within an hour. He was nice, polite, and prompt. His crew cleaned up after they left and were not intrusive. I would highly recommend him, his knowledge of plumbing, and his workmanship!"

"Terrence Spranger was my plumber. His quote was fair. He was on time to the job. He replaced my hot water tank and shut off valve. He suggested placing a tray under the tank that has a drain hose just in case the new tank eventually leaks then it won’t run all over my basement. He had the model and serial numbers added to my receipt for insurance purposes. He was very personable and put the customer first. He went beyond what was expected of him to do. Thank you"

"Aqua Doctors is my go-to for any plumbing needs. I trust Paul at AD with any plumbing situation. While working on an issue on a bathroom faucet, he kindly unclogged the drain on another sink."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.
