"I can't stress those reading this enough to never use Corwin for any type of work. My experience from them the past few weeks has been nothing short of the worst customer service of any sort I have ever experience. They were subcontracted by my contractor to do the framing and drywall for a basement job. The first 3 weeks and basically 90% of the work had been ok. The last 4 weeks have been nothing short of miserable. There was one area or ceiling left to finish which I paid the day they were allegedly done. That was a terrible move on my part because they were not done at all and left the ceiling an unfinished mess. This isn't even getting into the $6000 in overages they charged me for work that was agreed upon before the job even started. Yes, there was some additional work that was requested as the job progressed. But when I saw the newly updated quote with an additional $6k, I was shocked. But after some discussion and a few hundred dollars knocked off, I still paid them their balance only to be sitting here weeks later with an unfinished portion of ceiling and a newly noticed not plum window opening that Corwin tried to say they were not at fault then tried to blame their laborers. Now fast forward to late last week when I spoke to the owner who agreed to pay me back a sum of money that we agreed upon due to the issues at hand. I then get an email telling me their lawyer will reach out to me. What an absolute joke of a company and I will gladly take this to court. DO NOT USE CORWIN. "My cedar shake roof sustained hail damage and started leaking in December, 2019. SS Builders came out and covered the leak with a tarp to stop any further damage. The interior drywall was ruined due to the leak. The contractor worked with me to submit the insurance claim and once the claim was approved, work began right on time as scheduled. The entire old cedar shake roof was removed and a new one installed while keeping with the current code. All of the necessary permits were also handled by SS Builders. The 3 old skylights were also not up to code and had to be replaced along with the attic vent fan and ridge fans. The interior work was scheduled to be completed after the exterior work was done and it went without a hitch. The roof took about 1 week of work to remove the old shingles and install the new ones. The interior work took about 3 days of time for the drywall and painting. The entire job was completed by April 20, 2020 due to some stoppages because of the weather and the new skylights not being delivered in time by the factory. SS Builders are very good at communicating what they were supposed to do and they did all the work in a timely manner. They are very professional in what they do and they cleaned up the entire exterior and interior after they were done. The owner was in constant communication with me at all times and answered any question or concern that I had promptly and completely. The work was done to my satisfaction and the finished roof looks lovely – my neighbors have even complimented me on how nice the roof looks. It has rained and snowed since the roof work was completed and there are no leaks or any need to have SS Builders come back. They do offer a warranty on their work and I would have no hesitation in using them for any work that I might have in the future. I strongly recommend using them for any roofing / building project you might have as they are one of the best in the business."
