"After the big spring rains, water began seeping into my basement at several locations. I could see tree roots encroaching on the sump pump and assumed that drain tile was clogged resulting in water pressure strong enough to seep through the joint between the foundation wall and the floor. Tim explained that tree roots should be killed off with copper sulfate and that seepage was likely the result of cracks in the foundation wall that are covered up by the drywall. Secondly, I had mentioned to them that I will be doing a kitchen remodel project in the near future and that I will need to have the drain relocated. What they did was stage the area in prepapration for that project, so that there will be minimal work for when I start that project and have the sink in the new location.
