"Rob Reese is simply the best in the business, a fair and honest business owner who possesses great technical expertise. I am the treasurer of our condo association and we used AAA-1 back in 2012 for concrete block sealing and tuckpointing work. Our experience is that the water proofing product that he uses is of excellent quality and we were good for over 10 years. Fast forward to 2022 and it was time to reseal our concrete block again. I received 4 competitive bids for the work. Rob's proposal was the most complete, included the quality Chem-trete PB100 product (now costly due to pandemic induced supply chain issues - some of the other bidders included an inferior product), included a few extras but was still the most competitive proposal after fully levelling all of the bids. He included the cost of scaffolding (others wanted to hang a platform off of our roof), uses a very experienced team (some have been with him for decades), is well organized and bent over backwards to squeeze us in this Fall despite a full schedule. He completed the work quickly and professionally in 2.5 days (with a large crew) and communicated daily on what to expect the next day. I could not recommend Rob highly enough. We had a stellar experience and I would give him 10 stars if I could. They do excellent work and are true professionals."

Dan has 29 years experience in the industry and spent many years working in Boston and Chicago high rises. He is a journeyman mason and holds a city of Chicago masons licence. Northsouth does not sub the jobs to other companies. Our own crew does each job and have been with us for over 10 years. We provide free estimates but charge a flat $15.00 charge for second trips to the same location if the job is outside Chicago. They used wood screws to secure a shower door frame and failed to caulk any of the joints. They also left a ton of damage to my walls that I had to call them back to repair and repaint. To aid with entry to my building, I loaned them a set of spare keys, which they forgot to bring and had to return on a separate trip. After I submitted the final payment, I found that they neglected to secure the button sill of the shower door at all and it simply slid out of place. I sent Ron a message asking for a return of my payment and he has been silent. Amateur work, no attention to detail, carelessness. Don't hire these guys for your project, hire professionals"

They patiently answered all my questions, and did a professional job. The new porch and walkway look great and I'm very happy with the results. They told me to apply water to the new cement for a week to prevent cracks. I had never heard of this before, so I'm glad they mentioned it. My only regret (which was my fault, not theirs) is that I didn't put tarps over my groundcover and part of the lawn to avoid having to pick out small pieces of cement. I don't think any contractor does this, so again my fault, but just something to consider for anyone having work done and is picky like me."
