"My elderly dad unknowingly became a victim of scammers who installed malware on his computer (Trojan Horse, among other things). When my dad asked me for help, I turned to Mike. Mike is someone I had used 10+ years ago for a similar problem I had with my own computer. Mike had my dad's computer sorted out with a minimum of fuss and with utmost professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again and would highly recommend him if you're having similar issues."

"The tech, Wylie, was a nice and polite young man who did a good job of installing the mount to the wall. He did not understand the Dish Network however, and had to look up the connections with the remote on Dish's online support. He also left a giant cord dangling from the tv to the wall, explaining that he did not know how to hide it in the wall and that I would need another contracter to do that work. The deal I purchased made it sound as if all that was included in the $129. Then I was double charged on my credit card and had to call Hello Tech 6 times to get it resolved. Their automatic phone system is difficult --cut me off after being on hold for 15 minutes. I finally got a very young sounding female who said she would have the accounting department contact me. They did refund the extra charge. One of our tv's then did not work at all, but my son-in-law figured it out and fixed it. I would not recommend this company."
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
If your TV antenna is good quality and was installed by a professional, you can expect it to last between 10 and 20 years without needing repair or replacement. This can vary based on your geographic location, weather conditions, and antenna location.
The cost to repair your TV antenna is around $200 for the average homeowner. However, charges could be as low as $60 or as high as $450. Factors such as multidirectional or unidirectional, indoor or outdoor, and amplified or non-amplified all play an essential role in determining the cost of your repair. For example, outdoor antennas cost more on average to repair than indoor ones, much like amplified antennas cost more to repair than unamplified ones.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
Before your TV antenna stops working, there are a few ways to tell it’s starting to break. Some common signs that your antenna needs repair include:
A repetitive “no signal” issue
A redundant “searching” issue
Increased signal issues during a cloudy or rainy day
A sudden drop in signal strength, regardless of the weather
If you’re experiencing these problems, you’ll want to ensure that your cables are still in good shape and have not deteriorated. In addition, check to make sure that your cables are firmly in place at the wall outlet. Finally, check the position of your antenna to ensure there are no obstructions in its path. If you’ve checked your antenna thoroughly and are still having these problems, a repair is most likely needed by an antenna technician.
