Customers say: True professional

"We used the team for R&B for a number of projects around our house including electric and tiling in our bathroom, fixing holes in our deck, and painting the exterior of our house. They were incredibly responsive and professional. No matter what we threw at them, they could and DID handle it, quickly and on budget. I’d recommend them to anyone for whatever work you might be done. We’re really happy with everything and wish we found them sooner."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Signs your Moline flooring may need replacement include cupping, crowning, or bubbling, especially in areas prone to moisture. Persistent squeaks, soft spots, or uneven transitions between rooms suggest underlying subfloor issues. If you notice musty odors, visible mold, or excessive scratches, it’s time to call a local flooring contractor. Multiple issues together often mean a full assessment and possible replacement are needed.

Helpful?

The condition of your Moline property directly affects flooring choices. Uneven subfloors, prior water damage, or outdated materials may require subfloor repair or moisture testing before new installation. Homes near the river often benefit from vapor barriers to prevent future issues. Addressing these concerns first helps ensure your new flooring is durable and that installation meets local best practices for Moline homes.

Helpful?

In Moline, entryways, kitchens, and bathrooms often require flooring updates due to high foot traffic, moisture, and salt tracked in during winter. Basements are also prone to flooring issues from humidity and settling. Hallways and laundry rooms typically show wear within 10-15 years, while bedrooms last longer unless exposed to direct sunlight or heavy use. Regular inspections help catch early signs of damage.

Helpful?

In Moline, skipping subfloor repair, neglecting moisture testing, or choosing flooring unsuited for local humidity are common errors. Some homeowners rush acclimation for hardwood or laminate, leading to warping. Attempting DIY installation without proper tools or ignoring transitions between rooms can cause uneven results. Always consult a flooring contractor to assess your home’s needs and follow recommended installation steps for lasting results.

Helpful?

Flooring projects in Moline can impact HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems, especially if you have radiant heat, in-floor ductwork, or older wiring beneath the floors. Before starting, ask your flooring contractor to inspect for hidden pipes or wires. After installation, check for unusual drafts, reduced airflow, or electrical issues. If you’re adding underlayment or moisture barriers, confirm compatibility with your home’s existing systems.
