"Starting with the estimate (which was comparable to the other estimates I got), Gibran spent more time discussing exactly what I wanted and needed: the old walk was narrow, did I want it widened; squared off or rounded out where it met the garage slab; raising the back walk slightly to eliminate the extra, shallow step at each end; and most usefully, how to work around the 100 year old catalpa, that had lifted and broken the old walk, between it and the house. We ended up adding a curve to the walk, just by the tree, giving it extra space without disturbing the existing tulip bed on the other side of the walk along the house. He and his crew worked quickly and neatly, and did a very nice job. The new walks meet the city sidewalk and garage slab evenly, the curves are smooth, the tree has room, the tulip bed and ivy along the house weren’t disturbed, and now it’s much less of a pain to shovel snow than it used to be! As a bonus, landscaping was not part of the contract, but Gibran found a source of black dirt for us, and when there was a delay (while waiting for the city inspector) after the forms were in place, he and his crew spread the dirt needed to regrade the yard for us, rather than just sit around. I’m very pleased with the work they did for us, enjoyed working with Gibran and his crew, and would definitely recommend 5 Star Concrete & Construction."

"Frank Gonzales (owner) and the Emerald Bloom crew did an exceptional job relacing our paver walkway. Early Spring, they rehab’d the paver driveway, straightening bricks, etc. back to new status (installed 17 yrs. ago). They recently repaired the back deck masonary-bricked at a great saving, financially and in time. (Frank dignosed the source of the problem causing the bricks to shift & ameliorated the drainage issue at the time of the deck rehab. The deck bricks had tilted up against the house - others claimed the issue was due to settling/aging & suggested tearing out/replacing the deck!) in addition, Emerald Bloom’s lawn maintenance service is the best we’ve had. High recommendations for Emerald Bloom services."

"This was our second time working with Permeseal. Had a great experience the first time was they remediated four foundation cracks. "My existing window well had pulled back from the homes foundation over the past 20 years, allowing water and sediment to enter the well. Sediment would plug the drain causing water to build up and create an aquarium in the window well. You pass waterproofing installed a new window well and securely fastened it to the cement foundation. They carefully removed the previous window well and took care not to brutalize the surrounding landscape. Completely satisfied with their work"

"Patrick was professional, courteous, and efficient. All work was done well and all is working great. I would, and will, definitely hire Patrick again for future work. My only constructive feedback is to make sure customers know that the excavation is going to result in heavy dust. I would have taken 20-30 minutes to tarp all of my furniture. It was a mess to clean up afterwards."
