"We have used Villa tile numerous times over the past 15 years. We have had them do simple tiling jobs and have had the remodel 6+ bathrooms for us. Santiago and his staff always do a quality job in all that they do for us. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect! So hard to find honest, hardworking people people these days. So nice to know we can always count on Villa tile!"

"Couldn't be happier. First of all, Robin whom handles the phone call arrangements was very pleasant and easy to work with. Then, the two young guys we got, Juan and Oscar did a great job! They installed subway tile with glass mosaic accents. I had bought the materials with a simple design in mind. Instead, these two creative guys had me look beyond that to something much more appealing and beautiful! I couldn't be happier with this business or the work done. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. They were timely as well and very kind.

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

A quality shower tiling project is a bathroom upgrade that can increase resale value. Bathroom remodels have the highest return on investments for any home update. Tiling a shower won’t offer the potential 70% ROI that a full bathroom remodel involving upgrading fixtures, installing storage, and a complete room retile will. However, you can expect an average return of 55% to 60% for this refresh.

Travertine is a natural stone, while porcelain is ceramic. You can enjoy the best of both worlds with porcelain travertine tiles. Some people prefer porcelain to travertine because it doesn’t require regular maintenance and it’s easier to clean. Porcelain travertine looks like the real thing but only costs $3 to $6 per square foot.

Replacing tile flooring can take a few days for a pro, but larger rooms will need more time. It takes eight to 12 hours for a tiling pro to remove old grout and tiles across 100 square feet. Then, it will take about four hours to prep the subfloor for tiles and another eight to 10 hours for a pro to install new tiles. Your tiling project may take up to a week, depending on the size of the room.

Costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot for installation and $150 to $600 for repairs, depending on the material and complexity.

Natural stone floors, especially pebble-style tiling, are one of the least slippery options for a shower floor. Natural stone has a texture to reduce slickness, and pebble-shaped tiles add more visual and textural contrast while reducing slippage. Vinyl tiles are also designed with anti-slip texture for added safety. If you have a slippery tile, be sure to add a grippy shower mat to reduce the risk of falls.
