"5 stars!! Could not have been happier with the work performed in my house. Jason went beyond all of my expectations. All of the work was completed on time and professionally. Jason discussed the entire project, in detail, with me before we began. I could not find a fault with any portion of the work. I highly recommend A New Look Construction for any carpentry."

Small jobs welcome

"I texted Bonifacio of RRR and sent pictures about my furniture repair and he came over the very next day to check it out in person and give me an estimate. Two days later the work was done. He arrived in a timely fashion, and did an excellent job. He was very tidy during the repair process and made sure everything was cleaned and back in its place when he left. I would definitely recommend him for upholstered furniture repair. He did an excellent job."

"Blend and his team finished a big demo & haul away job in half a day. We had a 30+ year old deck and gazebo with wood rot in our backyard that desperately needed to go. He and his guys dismantled everything down to the soil and left without a trace of debris. Plus they carefully preserved our electrical connection. I highly recommend the Ferreti team for demo and junk removal, they were friendly and communicative throughout the job as well. 5 stars!"

"My chimney collapsed into my attic from a recent tornado. David reviewed the project on a Friday and was able to fit me in the schedule that following Monday morning. He was on time for both the review and the project and even communicated over the weekend on timing and procedure. He was able to get the chimney out of the attic quickly and hauled everything away. Very hard working! Great job!! I highly recommend his services."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Depth is not a qualifying component of evacuation. Any human-made cut, cavity, or depression in the earth’s surface is considered excavation. The hole from excavation can be any size, shape, or depth. Excavation is used to create foundations, reservoirs, drainage ditches, and roads. Long, narrow excavations are called trenches and are often used for underground utilities.

You can bury underground electrical wire six inches deep—but only if you use a rigid metal electrical conduit. For rigid, non-metallic conduits, bury the wire at least 12 inches deep. If using an underground feeder cable rated for direct burial, you'll need to place it at least 18 inches deep, as it has no conduit for extra protection.

Yes, chipmunk holes may have two or more entrances. Chipmunks can create an entire network of burrows. Having multiple entrances makes it easier for them when trying to escape from a predator, such as a snake, or if an entrance collapses due to flooding. Each entrance leads to the nesting chamber underground, which is where the chipmunk spends the majority of its time sleeping.

Sewer lines can be buried anywhere from 18 inches to 8 feet deep, with a common average depth between 18 and 30 inches. The exact depth depends on local factors like climate and soil type. In colder regions, pipes must be buried deeper (below the frost line) to prevent freezing, sometimes as deep as 8 feet. The digging depth can also impact the cost of sewer line replacement. To find the specific depth for your property, you can check the building plans for your system, which should be on file with your city or local sanitation department since permits are required for installation.

While general contractors sometimes handle demolition, you can also look specifically for local demolition contractors. Demolition experts need to understand structural integrity, the equipment needed for safe demolition, and the permits required for demolition.
