"5 stars!! Could not have been happier with the work performed in my house. Jason went beyond all of my expectations. All of the work was completed on time and professionally. Jason discussed the entire project, in detail, with me before we began. I could not find a fault with any portion of the work. I highly recommend A New Look Construction for any carpentry."

Small jobs welcome

"I texted Bonifacio of RRR and sent pictures about my furniture repair and he came over the very next day to check it out in person and give me an estimate. Two days later the work was done. He arrived in a timely fashion, and did an excellent job. He was very tidy during the repair process and made sure everything was cleaned and back in its place when he left. I would definitely recommend him for upholstered furniture repair. He did an excellent job."

"Blend and his team finished a big demo & haul away job in half a day. We had a 30+ year old deck and gazebo with wood rot in our backyard that desperately needed to go. He and his guys dismantled everything down to the soil and left without a trace of debris. Plus they carefully preserved our electrical connection. I highly recommend the Ferreti team for demo and junk removal, they were friendly and communicative throughout the job as well. 5 stars!"

"My chimney collapsed into my attic from a recent tornado. David reviewed the project on a Friday and was able to fit me in the schedule that following Monday morning. He was on time for both the review and the project and even communicated over the weekend on timing and procedure. He was able to get the chimney out of the attic quickly and hauled everything away. Very hard working! Great job!! I highly recommend his services."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

The easier way to find buried sprinkler lines is to use the plan from the professionals who installed the system. If you don’t have professional plans, listen for running water on your lawn when you turn on the system. You may also spot wet areas, giving you an idea of where the heads are. Once you find the sprinkler heads, you’ll likely be able to connect the dots between them, revealing the system below.

Yes, trenchers can go through gravel. Gravel is made up of smaller, softer rocks that certain trenchers are able to cut through. Just be sure to use a rock wheel trencher or chain trencher, both of which are made to cut through rocky landscapes and gravel pathways without dulling the teeth or chain.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

If you don’t have a crawl space but have a partial basement you want to make deeper, you can expect to spend a little less—between $40,000 and $90,000 on average. However, if you’re not adding new finished square footage, you won’t see much in the way of ROI.

The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.

When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
