This is the second time I have use Rent a Gardener and have been delighted both times. The two-man crew went above and beyond as we made some last minute changes in plant locations. Never the least bit bothered, they were friendly, professional and worked diligently to get everything done beyond our expectations.

Rigo and Orlando were fantastic. They worked hard in blazing sun and temperatures in the 90's. One area was about 3' x 20'. Another was 5' x 20'. I'm not sure of the area of the third area because it is curved. That area was tough because there were very persistent "weed trees" that kept coming up no matter what I did. They dug them out by the roots. Other problems were stones that had "migrated" out from the house and the tree roots from the large tree that was taken down a few years ago. After all the areas were dug out, compost was added and tilled in. They had a little time left but instead of packing up they weeded my courtyard and another garden bed. Then they weeded and edged the garden around the mail box. They were both very easy to work with - communication was easy and they were very responsive to little changes I wanted to make.

Great! We worked with their horticulturist, Cindy, who came out and quickly understood what we wanted. Within a few days she gave us a "big picture" idea for the plantings as well as specific plant suggestions via email. She was very flexible and wasn't offended if I didn't want exactly what she'd suggested or if I changed my mind, etc. She was very good at working with me to tweak the overall design and the individual plants. She met me at the nursery to see all the plants and tag the 3 big trees we wanted. I love getting to pick out the exact trees I'm getting. Cindy also understood what we wanted for the shed footing and drainage work. Once we narrowed down our plant selection, she gave us a preliminary estimate for all of this work. She also explained how they estimated labor costs. I was also really impressed with the men who did the site prep, planting and the additional work of building a really solid foundation for our new shed and digging a buried downspout extension for us. They did a great job on every single aspect of this. They worked really hard and were good at problem-solving. It was also good to know that Rent-a-Gardener's owner, Arun, is an engineer and he was involved in the construction projects, coming by as needed to check on the planning and execution. And Cindy came each day, sometimes twice, to make sure we placed each plant exactly where I wanted it. The landscapers were very patient about that too, even replanting one tall grasses and one bush I decided to change! It seemed like we had added many plants at the last minute and that the guys had done quite a bit of extra work -- even removing an old basketball hoop and its deep cement footing, then cleaning out, trenching and mulching an adjacent bed so it would all look finished -- so I was dreading the invoice. I was amazed to see that it was actually less than the original rough estimate. Total time between first visit and completion was one month and 2 days! We are definitely very happy with our Rent-a-Gardener experience and the beautiful results! Every time I look out my windows I'm amazed! Wonderful! I'd definitely work with them again.

I am absolutely delighted with the design and work performed by this business. I requested a design for the my entire yard. Cindy came to my home several times to work with me on a plan. After discussion with Arun and the size of the job, she decided to have me work with one of their outside designers. I have to say that everyone not only performed as they promised but were here on time or earlier. I was happy with the design, however, Cindy knows her customer and her business. She remembered me saying there were some particular plants that were not my favorites. So she made some suggestions, substituted some plants and rearranged others. After the work was completed it was awesome and right away I received comments from several neighbors and family about the beauty of the yard. I must add that the men worked hard in the sweltering heat and were always pleasant. I will definitely recommend this business to others.

I used this company a year ago and had a problem with all the work not being completed. They did come back and finish after I stopped payment on the check. This year I needed less work than last year but the quote I was given was I am so disappointed. I trusted Arun and I'm paying for it now, literally. I wanted a yard clean up and the quote he sent me was outrageous. He was charging so much more for labor than last year, 125% more, for a job that wouldn't be as labor intensive. He didn't even come out to see what I needed done. He simply sent this quote and I couldn't believe the price. I've tried to email him a couple times and he just says he will get in touch with me but I haven't heard anything from him. I had a different company come out and he said the mulch that was put down by Arun should have had a weed barrier put down. So now all the mulch has to be re-done. Also he asked if I cut the bushes and I said no, Rent A Gardener did, he said that they cut too much and when you do that you shock the bushes. He was showing me all the dead branches and 2 bushes that are dying and he explained that trimming too much causes shock and the bushes will not produce new growth then. I paid around $2000 and now I have to have everything done again. Arun who runs the company I believe has not been fair to me a previous customer. His lack of communication, raising the labor cost by so much and now finding out things were not done correctly is very disappointing to me. Buyer beware. Make sure if you choose this company that things are being done right and that he is not over charging you. I would get a couple quotes. I wish that's what I had done. I learned a hard lesson.

Rent A Gardener has met and exceeded any expectations that I may have had for my first landscaping experience! We moved into our new home 2 months ago, and my main foal was to make the front and back look beautiful. My first meeting with Arun was very pleasant. He is an EXPERT, and is so knowledgeable. You can tell that he loves what he does, and is passionate about it. After our initial walkthough, I was sold. 3 weeks later, Arun's team came 25 minutes earlier than expected and got to work straight away. They knew exactly what needed to be done, and were VERY HARD workers.Arun arrived shortly after to do an initial walk thru, and we discussed putting sod in a few areas, as well as a flagstone stepper and some hydreanga bushes in the front. There was a whole lot of work to do...trimming,edging,mulching,creating tree rings etc.. and Arun's crew put in 2 very full days. He did a final walk thru with me on the second day, and we discussed future plans. I am getting in early to book my fall clean-up! Top notch company, on time, great customer service, and the final bill was slightly lower than the original estimate! What more can you ask for? BRAVO!

I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Rent-A-Gardener. From the original contact, I was treated with top-notch service. An appointment was set up for a free estimate, and Arun arrived for the walk-through right on time. I was immediately impressed with his punctuality, appearance and general professionalism. He gave me a ballpark figure right then and there, and I received an estimate within 48 hours. Although it was more than I had hoped to spend, my decision was made shortly thereafter. Even at the walk-through without a commitment from me, Arun put me on the schedule for 3 weeks out. I was anxious to have the work done, but understood from all the other reviews I had read how in demand he was, and I felt that was a good sign. Due to some scheduling issues on my part, the date was extended -- but only by one day! On the day of my work, the two-man crew showed up on time. Again, I was very impressed at how courteous and professional they both were. Arun arrived a little later and went over everything with the foreman and I was amazed at how nothing was written down, but not a single thing was forgotten! Arun came back on Day 2 to check the progress and do another walk-through. The work was finished up right on time and just in time for a nice downpour that evening to set everything in place. A lot of work was done in two days: weeding, edging, creating new beds, transplanting plants that needed to be thinned out, pruning, trimming bushes and trees, placing landscape stones for pathways and mulching. The crew even removed a large wooden bench that I had asked them to carry to the curb and even took it away for me! From start to finish, the project was a pleasant experience and I would recommend Rent-A-Gardener to anyone and definitely use them again. Thanks, Arun, and Rent-A-Gardener!

We used Rent A Gardner last year for our landscaping maintenance and they did a lovely job. This year was the same. It's such a relief to have a company that is considerate of their customers needs. Also, they do a neat clean job. I appreciate the fact they are punctual, and work completed when they said it would be done. Everything that I needed was done and did not even have to ask for anything to be cleaned up or changed. Arun is very professional and just real nice to deal with too. Sent email to request quote to clean up and mulch back yard. Arun responded quickly, came out to inspect what needed to be done and date was set to perform work. Two of his men were here two days, everything was cleaned up when they left each day and the yard is beautiful. Will hire them again.

Arun came out for an estimate and walked the property with me, asking good questions to ensure expectations were aligned. He provided a detailed written estimate via e-mail, which was appreciated and a nice professional touch. Results were literally perfect. Property looks amazing, work was done as I requested. .

What a professional crew. I used Rent-A-Gardener along with Mike Spravka (Plumages) to create planting areas and install trees, bushes, perennials, and mulch at my house. In one 8-hour day with a crew of four people, my house was totally transformed. I am beyond impressed at the work level of the crew, the level of landscaping expertise, and the dedication to the job. The crew arrived exactly on time, was exceedingly professional, and met the highest standards of excellence. I will go back to rent-a-gardener for my next major project. Or maybe my next minor one, too!
